The puzzles are very straightforward and uninteresting and mechanics seem inconsistent. Nice visuals and audio make it a pleasant meditative experience. 3/5.
Are you aware of the bug where you can "stick" a box to yourself? If there are two boxes next to each other, if you push one box, and you make the next move without a pause after the first one, pushing the other box, the first box gets stuck to you, creating a "shield" in one direction.
That said, I wasn't able to beat the 20th level, even when I tried to exploit that bug.
I am confused by the high rating. While the core mechanics are quite interesting, it was really linear, and the best strategy proved to be just brute force trying combinations by clicking random squares. Not what I expect from a good puzzle game.
I certainly could, it was pretty late already yesterday and I didn't have time for elaborate comment, sorry. Music is quite annoying and not really fitting. Mouse controls are very counter intuitive, I was trying to swipe my mouse and wondered why it behaved weirdly, until realizing it is about the position of the mouse. I didn't really like the sound effects. They are really sharp, especially the press button one. On hover, the level select boxes enlarge with transition but the numbers don't. I don't know why you chose the yellow tiles to have + sign on them, 4 round arrows would be much better. Undo button is missing. I think ball movement could be a bit faster. I found the level design quite boring. The arrow being button for level select is not very intuitive. The overall colors are a bit too contrasting.
Kinda good concept and engaging gameplay. Not a big fan of graphics, a nice flat design would work much better imo. The story was great. Such masterful parody of all the wannabe epic stories.
Really liked it. The level design was great. The "minimalism" theme seemed a bit forced at the start but in the end worked out. The light bulb mechanism seemed very out of place to me. Otherwise, great ideas. 4/5.
It is very polished and feels great to play it. Loved the sound effects. The difficulty curve was a bit slow for me. Nice selection of music. I however didn't really like the levels. While it is satisfying to put the last pieces in to finish a level, it doesn't feel good enough to find the solution. For me, it was pretty much just trying several combination of pieces until it worked. Not too much of thinking or puzzling involved. Now for the feel: It felt sometimes a bit awkward when I had the last piece grabbed, but I missed the spot and had to drag it again from its original position. It could snap to the nearest free space. Also, I think since the transition of the pieces when returning are smooth, it feels weird when the pieces just snap into the place immediately when placed into the grid. The concept was not super interesting or innovative. The music could loop. The levels became quite boring and stale after a while. Anyway, thanks for the game. I enjoyed it for a while. 3/5
Oh, thank you very much for telling me! I didn't know that there was this bug! Thank you! :)
Edit: Fixed it! You just need to reset the game by walking to the top right corner of the level selection.
[cont from my previous comment]
And the main thing. Kreds/ads to advance in the game? What the hell? If I win all the levels, I suppose I can advance to next levels, but I have to watch ads/pay kreds to buy next levels? That is absolutely messed up. Paying should give you at most slight advantage or some minor additional features, but paying to unlock next levels? In a puzzle game? Even though you finished all the previous levels? That is absolutely wrong. I am absolutely not watching 10 ads just to unlock something that should be unlocked by default. If only that, it is bugged on top of it. After refresh, I lose 7x7 pack which I bought with hints. But I don't have the hints either! If someone is going to buy that with kreds and that happens, it could be really bad!
I am sorry if my upcoming rant sounds rude or mean. But I feel like some things need to be said. Tomás, I would love to hear your reaction.
First of all, I really like the core system of the game. I think the level desing is good and puzzles are quite challenging. The sound effects and music are good too.
I however really dislike the execution. The level transitions are poor, reset should not be confirmed, at least not in that annoying fashion, and the star/move count system is just stupid. No, there are not people that enjoy it, and if there are, they are in vast minority. Don't lie to yourself. Especially in an optimization game like this one, the move count just does not matter, because once you have the solution, you could just screenshot it and just put your solution there again. Which is just stupid. [char limit, see next comment]
I like the theme of this game, but I gave up after finishing like 4th picture and reading the comments. I have to agree that it is very confusing at first. Also, there is nothing to discover apart from what picture you draw next. No new mechanics over time.
I didn't like the music. Just because it is a good song doesn't mean it fits your game.
I really like the game, some of the levels were quite challenging. It has very simple rules yet the levels are quite hard. The mechanics took a while to grasp, especially how the squares are selected, but eventually I got it. I didn't really like the flashing squares. My selection got cancelled after the blocks I placed before stopped moving. That was annoying. There could be an undo button. Also, I think the turn indicator should be more visible. Several times, I spend quite a while trying to figure out 2-turn solution when the turn limit was 3. 4/5
Nice game, thanks. Let me have a few comments.
The difficulty scaling was a bit slow for me at the start, before introduction of the third dimension.
Sound effects felt a bit out of place sometimes.
Some interesting features like multiple colors or the huge rotating tiles were only merely introduced. The huge rotating tiles felt a bit out of the place in the game too.
I would love to see some progress bar of game completion.
I don't get the point of the circle at the corner displaying other options. Why not display them by default?
It was quite short and not much challenge like I would expect from a puzzle game of this style. I never really felt the achievement after finishing a level.
Music was nice.
The game reset was odd.
Enjoyable but a bit non-developed let's say. 3/5.
This seems to me like an exact clone of an ancient game concept, which has been done tens if not hundreds of times. You didn't bring anything new. I don't like that.
You left the level editor behind "credits" button.
The particle effects were a bit over the top. The sounds seemed out of the place as well, especially the pop sound of the fruit that 'falls off', which was too loud.
I also suspect vote manipulation. Apologies if I am wrong.
1. Credits button is linked to level design because of a bug.
2. I don't know why you say: manipulation of rating? I feel offended
3. I tried to make a bubble shooter with some amount of levels which can be played by kids and other family members, without ads. That is the game.
nothing to be confused about. Most players prefer relaxing casual experience over 90 blocks of Tetris per minute
