Twas pretty good! Just some accessibility issues like timers on everything, unclear objectives, things like that. Just have someone play test it and you'll know what I mean...
Great game... there always some interesting dynamic between levels to keep things interesting. Pretty confusing at the start though, especially the UI and controls.
This is a really good example of starting a project, working your butt off to get it working, and then looking back and realizing that your skills are much better now then what you've made. This type of game has been done before! Take those skills and apply it to something different and interesting, that's my advice.
So, Challenge 4.: first beat challenge 5 to see how to you should control the sword. After that, go back to four and do this:
1st. Set the Shield to follow the dragon. 2nd. pull the sword back so the shield goes in between you and the dragon. 3rd. pay close attention to your sword, trying as hard as you can to keep the shield between you and the dragon while you slowly shoot him to death. It's not hard, but it'll still take some luck and patience. Great game!
SO what if it was a slow pace? Not everything has to be twitch-reflex paced. (See Smash Bros. for N64 if you need an example)
I thought it was way too simple of a platformer, and I would've gotten bored and quit if it wasn't for the charming characters and environments, which completely won me over. Good show!
