To get 1k+: Generally, just level up your wood production enough to be able to get into the higher level environment upgrades, which are then self-propagating. Some micro: 1) if you stagger your lumberdwarf creation so that each dwarf is able to exhaust his energy and return home, then the yield per lumberdwarf run will be higher (as opposed to letting them stack in a clump that clears from start to end one time, but then has a long cd), since ld only cuts on his egress trip; 2) Do the math so that your lds only need to strokes to cut a tree, generally upgrading ld ability before tree ability.
I got 1157 in 10:43 by going [tree, lumber, fisher, gatherer, house, environment, dragon]: -> [(1/1), (1/1), (0/0), (1/0), (1), (0), (0)] and ending with [(6/7), (6/7), (3/4), (4/5), (8), (10), (1)].
This is really fun! I think the item combinator is what makes the game most enjoyable for me. Can we get a chest to put things in that we want to use for recombination later? (So that they don't take up space in our inventory and we don't accidentally 'sell all'? I don't mind if the chest gets wiped on reset, I'm just tired of accidentally selling stuff that I've been saving from a different dungeon.
I really like the snowballs in the air limit + arc; upgrading launching power can improve $/sec because you can use a shallower arc which means shorter flight time which results in more snowballs per sec. This also means I don't feel like I need to use an autoclicker!
The bus' sluggishness combined with the movement speed boost and slow drop animation of enemies' weapons can make it hard to collect weapon power-ups: this can be solved by tailgating (!).
I'd really like better achievements. There were a few times when I missed the upcoming ledge, but the game shoved me up onto it, saving my life. That could be a "close call." Jumping from one platform, to another, short platform, but jumping a second time, without touching the short platform and then making it to a third platform could be a "just grazed" or something similar. I also think it would be cool if the deadly burst power up had a special burst when you had a shotgun equipped.
For a strong farming/passive start, buy the best treasure upgrades that you can and stick with your stock guns until the level two boss.
This is effective for a few reasons. 1) An upgraded loot stat improves the drops you receive from mobs and chests, resulting in more loot per mob killed 2) chests spawn periodically, but bosses only spawn when you've destroyed a certain amount of mobs, meaning that if you can drag the pre-boss wave out by not killing many mobs you will get to farm more chests 3) maxed magnetism allows you to sail around the map's perimeter collecting loot until another chest respawns while putting your ship at little risk 4) your captain gains "levels" based off of the amount of gold you collected in the previous level. A higher level corresponds to more starting gold.
I typically start with the top loot upgrade and then as soon as I have 600 I purchase a ship upgrade and the 3rd tier loot upgrade.
My opponents keep quitting & the game then goes into "waiting..." "cancelling.." but it never cancels, so I have to refresh the page. I don't think this error is on my end because it only ever happens when my opponents are losing badly.. ruinous.
I finally got the evasion badge (untouchable) and the hard Kongregate badge by having 3 pistol wielding enemies on screen whose bullets were synchronized (just knock them back as a group. when they return to firing range they will all fire simultaneously) and by using Dash>Teleport x20 -_-
I got it fixed in the upcoming update ^_^' Cheers!
