I love how people point out imbalances to the game and the developer's response is just to tell them that they suck. I don't see this game going anywhere- primarily because of the devs.
In the beginning when you could grind for crystals, things seemed to be quite balanced but now, you can't even get crystals working missions on the map and the gold/exp/crystals you get from PvP are a fraction of what they once were. I used to get 130 gold from a fight. Now I get 20. This will hinder peoples' progress.
You still get crystals from beating locations on the chapters just no longer from normal difficulty because it could lead to a case where a dedicated farmer gained a too large advantage. If you recieved 20 gold for a victory it sounds like a glitch, The PvP gold reward change still rewards a minimum of 75 gold for a victory + 5 gold for every level your opponent is higher level than you. If you are rewarded less for a victory please screenshot it and send to bugs@littlewarlock.com We are constantly tweaking values in the game to so nothing is set in stone.
Still can't upgrade cards. This is becoming a big issue now that in PvP I'm being matched against people 16 levels higher than me with decks that are all +2 and +3 and I am unable to upgrade any of my cards. :/
Looking at my database i see there are currently 2 people owning one plus 3 card each and 4 different +2 cards spread over different players i would say that it is impossible for you to be facing enemies with full +2 and +3 decks. Having said that we are working on the issue and hopefully it will be fixed momentarily. The ladder will reset on a weekly base as well so it is not the end of the world. Next week it will probably not be an issue but i am sorry that you feel that it is this way at the moment.
I think it is rather poor mechanics to allow a creature to continue attacking a building even though other creatures have moved in front of it. In other words, you can send creatures out to defend the building but if a ranged creature is attacking the building, it will continue to target the building even as your melee creatures stand in front of it. Once your creature gets in front of a building, it should block attacks against anything behind it.
This is a design decision we made as it creates certain specific dynamics. For example you could let a creature start attacking your orb and then summon a creature. This way you sacrifice some life to let your creature live, also in a case where your opponent has 2-3 creatures on the same lane on you there is little chance that you would be able to fend them off with a creature if they all instantly turned and attacked it when you summoned it. You can use this to your advantage summoning walls infront of ranged to have opponents creatures attack your walls instead of the creatures behind it for example.
We are aware of this issue and it will be sorted in a hotfix later today.
Edit: The hotfix we applied did not fix it entirely, some users are still affected by this and we are looking into it.
I like the game but when I debated contributing financially, I saw that the prices for the item shop were beyond outrageous. They want upwards of $75 for one "immortal" ship. That is my only real complaint. If you make that more realistic, I'd be cool. The free features are what are keeping my attention for the time being.
I haven't tried multiplayer but the game seems to have potential. Needs more reliable controls. I'm not a fan of play to win, but I think ctghost is exaggerating a bit. People who need to spam the comments with long walls of text are usually just butthurt.
From my experience with this game, it is very clear that money is this developer's top priority- lmao!
I get that developers want to make a living, but geez, shoving offers for kred purchases down my throat constantly? No thanks- I'll spend my money elsewhere.
I don't get the point of using an energy system unless you want to force players to pay insane amounts of money just to be able to play the game. Seriously, remove the energy system and let people play your game and you won't take all the crap for it that you are getting.
I think your view of Energy-based games is perhaps a little uncharitable. We don't force players to pay an insane amount of money to play our games and we're actually fairly generous with doling out free Favor Points (our premium currency). In fact, one of our top-rated comments about this game is how a player managed to out-level everyone else without paying, so it can be done!
I find it completely ridiculous that it allows the other person to see the answer you select so that they can simply wait you out and pick the same one.
I am liking the new unit costs and that the developer is willing to listen to feedback and use it to improve the game. I do have a question though because I can't seem to find it anywhere in the game. How do you get the blue "friend ship"?
We put it in Facebook as a social feature, but we kind of regret doing it... as a matter of fact it would be better suited here on Kong because ppl here actually play with friends, social gaming doesn't seem to happen much anymore on Facebook... the problem is we can just rip it out of the game because there are people who already have it. So we're either going to somehow phase that out, or re-work it so everyone can build it.
