the fact that the 2 looks like a 2 and a decimal point is obnoxious, a handful of laggy problems + no quality button/key (afaict), but still a solid game. 4/5
Very nice. Also, bonus points for, if you can't beat/gold a level, being able to grind up a few skills. last level with max skills is a breeze, which means that if you're good, you don't need to max all the skills, but if you're not, a bit of dedication gets you the badges. Kudos to the dev for a tower attack game done right!
Twenty tries netted me the badge, and I'm somewhat ok with that. All-bubble + bubble gravity... and then two repel-mines once the all-bubble ran out, heh.
TY RNG~
Biggest personal complaint is that it auto-sets your quality based on, I assume, framerate, which means that there's a lot of jolt when an enemy dies or goes offscreen, on occasion. Fun, but poorly written in it's medium... will play again once I get my video card in, though, to give it a fair rating.
7 shots for an impossible badge, and now I have a new song to add to my usual playlist, double-bonus! I may come back to this eventually so I can record my routine~
Hard mode wasn't reporting, so I refreshed and got it. Not too shabby as a game. My suggestion is that it'd be nice to know more (For instance, I'll assume the starting upgrades were because of my playthroughs I'd already done, but I saw no proof or tell of that before I had them, and if I had, I wouldn't've started on hard preparing to get the hard badge and get the other two on the way). Knowledge is a place to start for me, though. Solid game regardless, 5/5!
Finished finally... what a ride. A handful of meager complaints (auto-fire, weapon-cycle-key), but it's nothing because this game is very well designed. I applaud that such a good shmup could be made without any notable lag, even for such a crappy box as mine. Highly refined, and a fantastic story that almost made me weep. You have my most sincere congratulations!
*SPOILERS*
The fact that the story was disjointed from the gameplay was a little jarring... I would've liked to fight Mare in his training, or be shot at by the Firebolt... But all in all, I loved the game, and hope you make a sequel!
So people are aware, you van get 10 more stat points from a maxed job, and once you're maxed on tactics you can't get any more stats from the mountain castle (It may be based on how many points you can get from it, but I noticed it when I maxed my tactics).
@Highscore: the magic fountain sound is the bubbling of water, or a potion, similar (same?) to being restored by pipin in Diablo.
Solid game, if a little obnoxious in places.
All but a couple levels were rather easy, but the last level as rather satisfying... and who doesn't mind being president of the world~
part of the first 1000 to get the hard badge, woo!
