"Allow me to play the song of my people." I never knew he had such musical talent! A real prodigy if e'er there was one! To think, he was playing an organ and made it sound like violins! A pity that from then on, his father never allowed him near another musical instrument.
That Box Cutter is the unsung hero of this tale! Quickly! While the story is still in its earliest chapters, SING THE BALLAD OF THE BOX CUTTER! (Overly dramatic, I know, but that's the idea!)
(Apparently, I'm one of the only people to acknowledge this.) The introductory dialogue of 4-5 raises some interesting questions:
1. Are both of Lance's parents dead? If so, then... 2. Did Lance's mother also die in an incident involving mining? 3. Which died first? (It'd make sense if it was his mother. Thus, leaving his old man to raise a child by himself.) 4. To be revealed in EBF5, I presume?
(Bear in mind, this theory is derived from in-game dialogue. It my also spoil the surprise.) Dregg's cheery counterpart is actually a psychological defense mechanism! Why do think he said and did all those things? It was intended to wake him up! If Dregg had stayed asleep for much longer he'd be past the point of no return!
