I just looked this back over again. The mechanics of it are much more in-depth than other above-view RPGs like this. Really, the only reason anyone would vote this low is because it needs graphics polishing and more storyline. Honestly, most people don't appreciate the programming enough. I love it dude.
UPDATE: Kongregate will not let me upload new versions. File size is too large. I am figuring a new way to pull GIFs externally with less file size. I have 10 new ones ready, but... they won't be out soon. I am working on this guys.
You've gotten me inspired! I'm opening up an old project, an unfinished RPG! Here's a link to the old version! The jumping part was the hardest to do :D
this link will look weird as hell (website sized it wrong) but OK, here it is: http://games.mochiads.com/c/g/stick-rpg_v1/RPGmochi2.swf
I really like the jumping ability, and the stairs! Thanks for the inspiration man, you rock! P.S. Love the new updates! You have a fan! Maybe we can collab sometime?
Awesome, RPG always has been my favourite genre, so it's good to see another one being made! That old version wasn't bad, the stairs and the jumping was awesome. I don't even know how you did it, you're much better than me! :P
I hope you're going well with getting that going again, it looks awesome. Good luck!
Thanks, I've been coding most of today (and playing the Diablo 3 open-beta for a bit :P) so it's good to know someone noticed :). I'm all up for a collab, but I think you're a fair bit better than me, so get ready to be disappointed :P
I've just added in skateboards (and cars are the same thing, just add a variable) and quickly getting them added to a shop, then I'll sleep for tonight, so no more updates today!
Good luck with your projec!
Not bad... would like to see it finished. 5* to help give you some inspiration, please finish the game and post it on my profile when you're done! Thanks!
Hey guys, I'm thinking about making a part three with a new and cooler storyline. And also some options to make it a little bit more interactive, so you can have different endings. What do you think? Plus this up if it's something you will check out or something that sounds cool. :D
You guys are awesome! This is one of the first games I ever made, and probably the only reason I continue making games. It's such an inspiration! I am now working on a multiplayer pokemon-like game. Hope it all turns out good! Contact me if you want to beta test :P
I HOPE THIS HELPS THUMBS UP SO OTHERS CAN SEE IT!
How to beat Trick of the Beginning (User level) In the very start hold down your left key so that it goes imbetween the black spike and the brown ball in that little nook. Then wait for both spikes to dissappear and roll him down onto the platform with the coin, using the momentum from there to continue rolling him upwards. At his apex, when he almost starts rolling down, slam down on the left key to get him onto the platform again. This must be done quickly, and soon after he's on the platform the spike will re-appear, so be sure to get into the nook first. Then wait for the spikes to dissapear again and roll into the blob in the center and you win :D
I HOPE THIS HELPED THUMBS UP SO OTHERS CAN SEE IT!
Don't you all understand, while the refresh thing makes him money, it's not just for that...
That is an attempt to help fix the server freezing errors, creating a new connection from an already created connection is kind of like inception, connections inside connections, leading to insane server stress!
I miss the days when you could press space a whole bunch, type someone's name and a colon, type something offensive about another player, and cause a rage fight, and win the game. Now I'm bored.
@Displonker the Goo was created in the future then ate a time machine and was sent back in time. Therefore, eating the world in the past means there was no future and the Goo was never created. The goo was never created and could not eat the world. Definition of paradox.
