Not sure whose talking about not being overpowered near the end. Once you level up you can kill everything that was previously immune to damage. Plus there are checkpoints every few steps that restore hp. Combined with the shotgun effect of a powered up water spell every half second = Everything dies and I'm invincible.
Sometimes it felt like I had too much boost and other times there wasn't enough. If there was an effort made to have more control of the boost you could make a really neat game out of it.
I don't have much of a problem with the time limit as much as the checkpoint thing. I hate it. I put some time into solving a level and then I get stumped by the next one so.. I go back to the beginning of the checkpoint. Baaaad. The worst thing for me is the Piece Bonus. Sometimes we have more pieces than needed and have to guess where to put them to get a perfect score. Where do you want me to put this unnecessary block!? Aside from all the pain in the ass things I like the concept and it could be a whole lot of fun if it wasn't so anal about everything.
I like both this and Crush the Castle. I wouldn't say this is better but it's definitely fun. There's just something about pushing castles over using the brute force of the catapult. This feels like I'm inside the castle placing charges. I like that too. I would enjoy another one. :3
I think people are frustrated at something that happens when the game loads incorrectly. There's just a few symbols in the upper left that can't be interacted with. I read in the comments that "you cannot teach a man rocket science" so I messed around a bit thinking it was a mental puzzle. Nope! I reloaded the page and the game started working properly. Yay.
This game is really neat. It has a compelling opening but no ending. I would like more than congratulations to end my experience. Like at least a picture of them hugging on the ferry or something.
2 player mode makes this super awesome. I think an amazingly fun full game could be made out of the concepts here. I myself don't like falling so much as side scrolling but it's an awesome start of something I'm sure.
I love the harpoons. The way you fire them one direction and can move around while still firing in that direction is great. The way robot swims is awesome!
