I'm getting extra sand from somewhere when i login today. i even deleted all my sand and glass factories and concrete and confirmed the zero output. rebuilt all the sand and again there was extra production coming from somewhere
Suggestion 1. How about adding in armies, tanks, planes and have a "War room" or something that converts armies, tanks and planes into gold.
Suggestion 2. "Marketplace" to use gold to buy any type of resource. Only buying, no trading.
Mycroft, I have 40 charcoal, 40 iron ore feeding to 20 iron foundry which feeds 8 steel foundry. To be more accurate, the formula is more like 32/32 to 16 to 8. So why did I have 4 extra iron foundry? thats because iron is used to upgrade steel foundry so these are my iron supply for upgrading.
tried to put 11 emitters together side by side as my new replacement for cable(because it takes me one hour to mine enough steel to make one cable). but the 10th and 11th emitter failed to work because the 1st emitter links to the 9th and assume the 10th and 11th are too far away. so i had to throw in an accumulator in between to trick it to work.
Foresee that emitter will be useful late game but right now instead of building one accumulator and 7 cables for my new windmill farm, I built 6 accumulator and 2 cables because my cable cost is too high.
If you decrease the increment cost of cable, roads etc to 10% instead of 20% will be easier. My roads now cost 2.7 trillion with 8.5 billion stone output and cable cost 2 billion with 3 million steel output. I am just idling and upgrading as expansion is kind of stuck at those prices.
steel factory takes too much concrete and can only be built on peak/mountain making placing it even much worse. it can never catch up to iron ore/charcoal costs
sand factory produces sand which requires energy. the output is glass and you need to connect it to storage. therefore make sure its connected by cable and road
1. I suggest that once you have plastics you have the option to buy plastic explosive to blow up a peak or mountain. mechanics work like outpost so you need storage. the new land will show up as "leveled land" and can be undone.
2. you can build peaks using stone. and show up as "artificial peaks" and can be undone.
3. reclaim coast using sand and stone and show up as "reclaimed land" and can be undone.
4. make highways using steel and concrete which can go over anything
5. make super highways using steel, concrete and plastic and glass for the ultimate highway with roads, cables and pipes. In real life there are cables and pipes that run under or along roads.
With these, the players can rearrange the map to their liking but with increased costs with each modification. You cant build an island in the middle of the ocean unless you build slowly a strip of land to the middle and then undo the the causeway.
there have been huge buffs to items, projects, and upgrades, which should largely bridge the gaps between eras
