What works for me. Send hero midway to kill the first 10-20 weaklings they send to you. Cast a magic damage spell at hero boss or whatever strong units. they will charge towards you. run back and by then you should have your powerful range attackers waiting at base to defend. Once ready push forward. you might end it in one go. If you are losing, leave all units behind and retreat hero back to base for second defend and assualt.
You are playing the same thing over and over 16 times. The only difference between lvl 1 and lvl 16 is that there is more days and higher revenue target.
Easy is Super easy. Build a couple of arrow towers, maybe upgrade once or twice. build workshop. upgrade the dmg and a $10 tower can pump out +30 dmg. Add other towers for variety if you want. This method will not work with hard though.
survivors work best with Jackhammer shotguns. push as fast as you can to the 3rd lvl where you can find survivors and jackhammers. If not you will run out of ammo before then and die. If you manage to get 2 surviviors with jackhammers, you dont really have to shoot at all at the low levels. Dont know if weapons is random, but the left fork, 1st area gives laser, 2nd area gives flamethrower and minigun, right fork 1st area gives flamethrower. not sure about right fork, the end of the fork gives telsa, so find the weapons and move on. The turret is fixed and works now. Finished the game its not that hard after a revamp. Password is memphys if you reach the last stage
the secret level was hard. you got to keep running away from the queen. once you captured most of the map, you can keep the queen running back and forth between 2 points by attacking where she setup her nest at. She will move towards the nest that attack her. example nest A attacks her, she moves towards A. quickly reclaim the nest she left ,B, use B to attack her when she captures A and she will move towards B, recapture A and repeat, while building up 500 or so units somewhere else plus a slow tower and she's dead. Finally using thr attacking trick lure her to where the massive 500 units is and release
You have to use the clicking trick not to hang, but I can't pull it off all the time. After it shows your exp gained after the game, posiiton cursor on the "green tick" at the left most spot and click repeatedly, hopefully you will get the done button and you can proceed. However you cant get beyond lvl 7. and you will lose all gold when that happens.
Seems the weapons are random, if you dont get them you are screwed. survivors too. I discovered you can always go back to lower levels to try ot find ammo and grenades (very important). But the enemies become more powerful then
