Tmon, Wire lowers enemy health when they walk through them so they could be worth it, grenades can be thrown out of bunkers and also I dont think mortars do fire behind palisades but I cannot be sure. Sand walls I think they do fire behind.
Wow it was just some advice, calm down and don't get your balls in a twist mate. My tactics have worked well for me. very well indeed. Its a good way to start getting point so please, shush and get on with your life.
The French resistance is amazing at taking fire :D. Like Trgh says, they have been pretty much coded to distract enemies from your main men. I dont use them.
I prefer to get all my 4 main guys with Ranger training and BARs and then build my force from there. I usually have a couple of guys with 90+ rifle skill by wave 50 or something like that, maybe earlier. I also have an officer because I have some Officer award which gives me a freebie at the start of every mission.
I have never bothered with defence structures since I got good and Ive lasted to about Wave 200 which is solid but with a few Bazookas its managable. DOnt waste your time on Tanks. The German tanks are better and 20 tact points could be spent better elsewhere like upgrading your current troops with further ranger training.
5.1 million is equally good. I have start recruiting everyone lol. So now I sorta seems to well, have the biggest army in the game haha.
I have just about limitless funds and I wish there was an option to take over towns because I'm in that sort of position hehe. Ive decided Im gonna do a bit of testing on the economy and then see what affects it negatively and what affects it positively. All I know is that with 9 or 10 hummers, theres a lot of room for a huge army.
Police are my friends. If you take a job for the governor they wont touch you and if you destroy the Desert Patrol its better since the police are stronger and faster so theres very little robbers on the roads apart from in the NE where there are tons of robbers unless you destroy their base. I cba. Makes it fun attacking them all with my army and 3.6 million USD
24680 raises a good point. My economy is worsening now and its gonna take a while to regain. I suggest you budget yourself and watch the economies. Boom and bust seems to work the same in Caravaneer since buying and selling in other markets works like speculation, but some towns produce a hell of a lot more than they should and brings prices down and profit margins. I suggest you strip an overproducing town of something they need. However if you hover around Quabba you can always make money out of jewelry. I bought about 15 for $900 and sold it for $4000 in fort gok lol. Good times. I have 2.4 million and around 10 men. I don't see the need for too many. I have 5 humvees though.
Tnt its because if your guys can only travel at 5 or 6 then the horses must stay at the same speed. Its the minimum speed of the vehicles.
My hummers escort all my men so it travels at 20
Easiest route is make your way to Quabba when you have vehicles and talk to the governor. You can kill of Desert Patrol off really easily and recieve $100,000. That really helps set off a nice caravaneer empire. I had $70,000 before that missions and after that I bought 5 hummers and military armor. Every man has the best machine weaponary. My doctor on it costs $4000 a month but thats nothing lol. I have 1.2 million and make as much as I want. Fuel costs a bomb though so if you have as many hummers as me I reccomend going to Hara, or Poca Cosa very occasionally. The police leave you alone if you complete the governors mission. Anyway Id outgun them if they did try anything :). Sniper rifles are good.
Its the best game Kongregate has hosted I think. I mean I like Mud and Blood 2, and some other games like Feudalism and even The Visitor is a nice game, but this tops.
Tip: Instead of setting off on a peaceful caravaneering journey at the start I sold my springfield, and my donkey and traded it in for a Garand and hired a person. Then I went out head hunting and once I won, I equipped the hired person with a nice katana I found and sold some on the market. I made around $2000 before I decided to go out trading. Its fun and theres money in it. ATM I have 8 people including myself all with RPK's or M4 carbines. Grenades are a life saver. Remember that. If you can get close enough and your surrounded, use superior fire power. Rocket Launchers arent worth the money really.
Its a very difficult game once the enemy utilize grenades and airstrikes and the artillery killed my own men :S. I wish there was a pause button also because I played this for about 30 mins and then needed to nip out. when i came back everyone was dead :(.
Tips-
-Upgrade weapons before you upgrade your defences
-Get officers near the start.
-Get trenches and have no more than 2 men per trench.
-Barb wire can kill your own men too ;).
- Dont use Artillery if your positions are more than a 1/3 forward.
