I think in light of KILLING WALL GLITCH, I feel the need to share the following: If you see a "Mission Failed" message, DO NOT END THE LEVEL. Why? If you reload the page without returning to the base, the death flag will not be raised, and you will still be capable of getting that ending and that in-game achievement of zero deaths. On a side note, consider maxing shield regen and putting the rest into shields - you will be able to tank pretty much everything but the mega beam of Iblis.
Phew. Three long years till I finally got my last badge on this. Level 11 is an effing nightmare. No, seriously. First episode is "gather the party", second episode is "escort mission", and third episode is "split the party". Nightmare, I tell ya!
An excellent game, really. So. SURVIVAL PROTIP: Max the projectile attack tree and attack combo sword skill. Then, run in a single direction during slashing, and every time you summon a wolf? Send a slash to your back. It removes pursuing attackers. It's enough to keep BP nicely filled, and healing yourself becomes easy. ON A DIFFERENT NOTE - I found the spider boss a lot more challenging than Oniko, probably exactly because I was insisting on hitting her in melee. On that note - you really should EXPLAIN BETTER, how to launch projectiles.
I, personally, DO NOT WANT the auto-collect potions option. Every potion on the ground is potentially an over-limit supply of mana. I suggest adding a "Potion Bank" that auto-collects potions at the end of the wave - but DOES NOT USE THEM. Then you know exactly how many extra potions you can use, and they don't clutter the screen. Clicking either the potion bank, OR the potion on the ground, still immediately consumes the potion in question.
Phew. Final mission zero deaths. Priest in 2nd mission saved. All that is left is to freeze, curse, mind control, resurrect 8 more, and get 29 more soldiers killed... Nah. I'm awesome enough as is.
Interesting fact: Labs send their blobs up to three times as fast as barracks. Use it to pierce fort defenses. Surprisingly enough, due to the largest blob capacity, general usefulness when full of blobs, and much faster blob strikes, Labs become a good building to launch offensives from, gererally taking 2-3 enemy buildings depending on whether you have a spell ready.
A few helpful hints to the collection. 1) Poisoned arrows, Leghold Traps, Dagger. This combo is the absolute best when applied for money grinding. In this particular order, too (Poisoned enemies are freed from traps and cannot be captured anymore). 2) When defending towers (particularly rank 3 upgrade) stand TO THE SIDE of the gate, and shoot your arrows ALONG the gate. Frontline of enemies will trigger on you, but will be bogged down by everyone else. 3) Trapping the surrounding area is a help when capturing towers and mines. Just make sure you don't kill the trapped enemies. 4) Armor is trained by getting DAMAGE. Easiest way to level is to hit barrels and weather the blast in melee. 5) If you manage to keep your tower gates undestroyed, it pays. Take care in tower assault missions correspondingly.
The real trick to Normal Mode is the following:
-1) Try and maximize your score, I beat the game in 22 rounds because I jumped several ranks due to good play.-
-2) The game does not nullify your score if you back from a lousy setup, instead it merely restarts that round.-
Did you know? Apparently, one of the optimal ways to defeat a wave in the survival is to find and decimate one of the spawn points as the wave begins - you only need to have from three to four weapons, fully stocked with ammo, on later waves... Tested up until wave 8.
@ djtoae. Sorry to break it to you, but there is an option of fitting your laptop with a mouse, you know. As a matter of fact, it's how I do All The Time.
One of the more interesting facts that potentially the deadliest result is when you forget to lock the window before doing anything else. One person dies, one is bitten, and werewolf flees before hunters arrive. Net result - one death, two werewolves.
As close to perfection as I can remember. 5/5. I loved the story... Especially that unexpected twist with the plot at the end. What with sudden save. Gotta admit I was already burying Sellar in cold dark sea in my mind...
Ah. Last two bosses. Aka "build up now and prepare for tug-of-war". Especially fun with the last one. Where more often than not his reinforcements are wiped with his own black hole.
Wow...what a comment. Thank you.
