*sees an ice-idol hopping on the ground*
"That'll be an easy fight!"
*initiates combat to find he's against an ice idol, and three MEGA DEATH CANNONS!!!*
Never trust the enemy graphic! It's a trap!
Awesome game. I love the play-style, simple interface, and the concept behind the story. I just realized that I alone am probably responsible for the deaths of billions of sentient beings... oops? :)
If it's not too much trouble, I would love to be able to craft gates for my fences, and also have more decorative items in general. Maybe a second-tier workbench or something? 5/5 <3
A great game! Seriously, combining a Harvest-Moon type sim game with aspects of a roguelike... It's a brilliant idea, and it keeps me coming back. I look forward to more awesomeness in the future :-) Thank you!
aww my game bugged and I lost everything, coming home after a night spent in my sleeping bag, i found my house surrounded by monsters and then the client froze
:(
This game has been putting me to sleep every night for a week! I play a little puzzle or two, find my center, listen to the lovely guitar music, and face-plant into my keyboard before wandering off to bed. Love it. <3
Congrats on the achievements! I retract my previous statement, you have a wonderful game here, and I hope it's just the beginning of a lucrative and creative design career for you :) 5/5
I saw a "featured game" that wasn't an mmo so I was like, cool, maybe it's just a good game and that's why they want me to play it. Nope. Microtransactions. I'm sorry, if your game was good enough I'd be willing to buy it outright, but no way in hell am I spending real money on this thinly veiled insult to the intelligence of gamers everywhere. And Kongregate... just... Uhg... what's happened to you?
AMAZING! Why didn't Kongregate feature this game when it came out? Or add badges? ...oh right... because KONG was bought by gameSTOP last year. *hangs head*
Dear Randomnine, creator of Cardinal Quest I and II, if I were a wealthy person I would give you buckets and buckets of money to keep doing exactly what you're doing. Easily the best Flash Rouge-like of all time. Keep it up!
What does it mean when your enemies go all sparkley? or when there are five swords over your hero's head? Or when your enemies burst into flames spontaneously?
Been waiting for a sequel to frantic frigates to come out for a while, it was a well crafted time-killer with great replay value. A few notes on this game, since you get to keep your upgrades between rounds the replayability factor is much lower after you beat the game once. And there's waay too much money in the game. For instance, why would anyone ever buy "loot 5"? by the time you have it, you don't have any more use for money. Also, between rounds when waiting for the boss, bonus chests will spawn forever if you don't go kill them right away. And there seems to be an issue with the bullet sprites dissapearing when you're a specific distance from the enemy. Fix these things (maybe back to the drawing board a bit) and you've got yourself another ingenious, addictive-like-crack winner :)
I really love this game, a great addition to the original! Two things: One, the sorcerers/sorceresses seem to have some gender identity issues e.g., female picture/description, male voice/description. Also, wouldn't it be awesome if the skill tree was more complex than the first game's? Anyway, sorry to nitpick, but seeing a great accomplishment like this game gets my own creative juices flowing... 5 out of 5 William Cookies! :D
Badges are on the way :D
