Against the boar, just try to throw a spear onto one of the bushes. Many power-ups will appear, so the boar is not really hard to win against.

To defeat the big creatures just spam them with everything u have the whole time. Use support for enough people and max out ur stats. If ur skills are too low, play the first to battles to level up very fast.
Well let's try hard mode...

There is no save option -.-
Just max out the stats of your soldiers and use support as the only spell and it is very easy to win.
