What's the point of complete and total customizabilitiy leading to many different and unique strategies and different play styles if no matter how you set it up you'll win anyway? Either needs a multiplayer mode or harder gameplay.
Okay, hero interactive. You did well! you made a fun, exciting game where total customizability is the goal.
Time to take it a step further.
How about a multiplayer battle system in which your tank fights another player's tank? That we we can pit our unique ideas against each other, or perhaps a cooperative campaign, where you throw some actually tough enemies at a group of players?
The lazers totally destroy the game. my game was running fine, but when I encountered two laser enemies, it started lagging to hell, then the game played really slowly, eventually crashing. This needs to be fixed.
The combo system is very brutal. if you do alright throughout the entire song, let's say keeping it around x2, you won't get a medal, however, if you ace one portion, you might get silver. Also, if you miss one note, it will be for a few reasons
1) you can't keep up: so if you miss one, you will obviously miss others, dropping your multiplier to x1
2) you played it at the wrong time: in which you will instinctively play the next note, also off beat, which leads to your multiplier dropping to x1.
3) you played the wrong note at the right time, which drops it down two (one for missing, one for playing wrong) and I doubt you'll recover, so there it is, back at x1.
Coupled with the fact that some notes are off the music, this makes the combo system very unforgiving. just sayin'
Thsi game fails because the gun grabbing mechanic is so screwed up. In some computers it turns into a cursor if you put it by the bottom of the screen, and doesn't allow you to grab items.
My review:
gameplay*4: a very fun and unique tower defence, but, after all, it is a tower defence, but a pretty epic one at that.
difficulty*4: I don't know what happened, but the first time I played this game, the enemies had like x4 HP, and I stopped. Now I play on my laptop, and it's fine, not too easy, not too hard. wth!?!
graphics*3: I like the tower designs, but the creep designs seem a little lazy. the level designs and background is awesome. I say meh.
music*5: rockin music! It makes the game very epic.
overall*4: very nice, enjoyable, and unique tower defence.
