Can you explain how the beast value is calculated? I have one value for a long time. However when I returned to play the next day the value is lower. It is frustrating !!!!

I had a beast value of 6600. I went to homeworld and do some stuff. Then refreshed the page and surprise...my beast value down to 5300. It is not fair!!!!
