All right, look, if you're going to take away half our experience when we replay a level, at least let us keep the experience we gain from a battle we lost. Seeing myself overrun by a bunch of pirates, inexplicably more skilled in combat than an army of legionnaires and centurions and whatnot, is just frustrating enough already without knowing that I gained absolutely bloody nothing from the fight. There are no new library entries so I can learn how to counter my foe. There is no experience awaiting me. I get no units. I only get "YOU LOSE" and more grinding of previous levels.
Grinding has never, ever, EVER been a good choice in this kind of game. It's boring, it's repetitive, it's tiresome, you only get a tiny reward and it's repetitive.
I really think I should be allowed to keep the credits I earn on a level, even if I fail it. 'cause I'm stuck on day four or something, and I die roughly halfway through. I'm not having fun, and I'm not going to continue playing, because it's not entertaining to me to get my ass kicked by a bunch of backtracking human soldiers and tanks in a ruined wasteland.
I want to like this, but seriously... Why in the blazes do you make the money disappear? This has never been a good idea before, no one has ever praised it, it is not essential to gameplay, it's illogical, it makes everything more frantic - in a bad way - when you rush around to collect the coins before they disappear... It's just not good. I cannot for the life of me think of a single time anyone has ever told me "Do you know what this game needs? Vanishing currency that is essential to buy upgrades."
If you make a game like this, make the coins STAY. Good lord, I lost count of how many times I died because I wanted to fetch that one large bunch of gold that just popped out of a killed enemy before they vanish.
The AI is absolutely bloody retarded. I stopped caring about the final mission of the second zone, playing as elves, because my soldiers decided to take the long way back to my castle. In the meantime, Leonidas raped it with his 3 fellow Spartans.
I actually thought this was an updated version of the original Redshift game: http://www.kongregate.com/games/Weasel/redshift?acomplete=redshift
Judging by other comments, this is yet another game that shamelessly promotes spending money on a god damn browser game.
If I wanted to throw away my money, I'd play WoW.
Why does my revenue rise and fall with a very significant amount every bloody day? I see no reason for it at all, and it made me lose the game. In fact, the seemingly random income ruined everything for me. Please fix this.
Income fluctuates on a daily basis for normal companies as well. The same number of zombies don't buy A Human's Quest every day, though zombies may buy a brainfreeze every day. Income fluctuation is a completely normal thing!
Late game, there are too many ranged enemies. I came here to play a zombie game, not to play a top-down RTS set in the ruins of a city.
I noticed some talk about a sequel in other comments and their responses - should you make the sequel, could you please cut down a tad on the ranged enemies? Eventually the game just turns into a shootout between the living and the undead, which is neither very fun nor the point of the game.
Otherwise, I had a lot of fun with this. Definitely one of the best games of its kind on Kongregate!
Thank you for your feedback, we will make the sequel with mission adn we will try to give certan felling to each mission like "defending a house from zombies ", "frontal assault on the street versus super soldiers, aka guerila fights" and so on. We tryd to bring somting original that`s why we added super soldiers but as i sayd , we will try to work more on the design like you sayd. Thank your for feedback
It would be nice to keep some of the experience you gain, even if you lose the battle. Otherwise that's 44 waves completed, and the final one lost, but despite the effort you get nothing.
Flaming sawblades that burry through the ground, bursting out and shredding everything when they reach their target. Holy shit, this is like Painkiller all over again!
I stopped playing after I lost 100000000 points or so by touching the sky for three seconds.
You seriously need to nerf the penalty for going too far up, because often, you can't avoid it. Otherwise an awesome game.
"I need a car... Any car! But I'll start with the shittiest one and only fill the tank a little bit, even though I have plenty of gasoline. I will also save the better parts for when I have driven halfway up to the helicopter, just for the sake of it. And all that ammo? I'll just pack a tiny amount and mount the gun on my car instead of walking and shooting."
I will downright refuse to play this game until Kongregate players get free frag bombs. It says they're free, and a lot of people have complained about this, there have even been multiple top comments addressing the issue. The fact that Ninjakiwi completely ignores this is insulting.
