just finished beating the game on Epic difficulty, on a separate file from my first play through for the medals, and i have to say: this is one of my favorite games that I have ever played. after totaling up the times of my two play throughs, I realized that I ended up playing just this version for just over 90 hours, and that when I finally finished getting all the medals, I still wanted more. I love this series more than I can properly convey, ever since I first played it sometime around the release of the second game. I can honestly say that this is one of my absolute favorite games. And a message to anyone thinking about getting all the medals: you get the reward even on the free version, and dear god is it worth it. Thank you so much for this Matt, even if you never continue the series, this is a wonderful game that I don't think I'll ever forget.
i really wish that it didnt auto use all your glyphs with the encounters with the ancient evil when your threat bar is filled. i want to save them for doors and for the final fight, when they would be much more useful.
part 2:
I am going to make two suggestions: one, mix up the text, for example, with the alchemist, have the text involving the bandages and potions change more from day to day, like saying something like, "the Alchemist gives you the usual potion, however the bandages are a slightly darker color than normal, and smell faintly of peppermint." The next line said by the alchemist could be something like, "this is a new mixture for the bandages, it should now help with larger wounds than before, but they are not easy to make, and you should use them sparingly." this is just an example, you should try changing up the text a bit more. Two, try to go over the text twice, and double check you don't misspell a word, this was only done twice, and didn't detract from the story, but make sure you watch out for that in the next game you make, since if it gets really long, small errors can become more noticeable over time.
Wow, this is an absolute gem of an interactive fiction game, and quite the treat to play, I really hope you continue the story of it, add a few more decisions, and have the decisions impact the story. You have talent in writing, and it's the kind of game that uses that skill to it's best. Also, as a question, where did you get the music for the game, it's really good, and I want to download it, if possible. You sir, have earned this 5 star rating, and more. Considering it was made in a month, and that there are only very small bugs, such as the E turning backwards if you face the side of the room you start from, it is very well done.
please fix the mute button, it does nothing, while the music is good, the lack of a working mute button is annoying when i'm trying to watch something in another tab.
i lacked the will to get past the second tutorial, the controls are unresponsive, the jumps are on an annoyingly long delay, since even a fraction of a second matters when trying to make a jump, your character moves as if they just drank a gallon of redbull mixed with sugar, and maybe it's a great game, i don't know, since some of the jumps are just infuriating. i'll give it until the end of the tutorial, and then if it sucks, i will rate so.
best demon name ever: treewood. 10/10. in all seriousness, this is a great game, i love nerdook, all his games have a very unique artstyle and a good concept.
PART 2: the reeason it is loud is the voices are direct ports, balbane, i had examples, then lost them since my thing was too long, but not overly so. A) it is a game by a lazy or broke dev, who couldn't afford voice acting and stole from kingdom rush, B) is a RIP-OFF, or C) a fan making a tribute, but i doubt it, it would say tribute. do not - please, hear me out, let me be heard.
cap words are impottant don't want to be a stickler, but... and HEAR ME OUT, the voices... are a DIRECT port from Kingdom rush, which has a few things over this game: 1) better graphics and effects, as when you change screens with the claw, it is a shaped wipe transition. 2: much better sounding music, as it is not blaring, i have not played kingdom rush in a while so i am not sure if that is from it, but i am 80% sure it is NOT. 3: each unit was it's own tower, so your archers don't stick with warriors, in fact ONLY warriors have the ability to be on the field.
my only problem, is the final boss. the fire spawn (cannon fodder) take away like 4-6 of my lives, vortigon is tougher then you, and you will tend to die just from the fire spawn, before you can get close. the diffuclty is to much of a change, its day and night, make it so that as you get to the end of each zone, the enemies get harder, and zone 2 is harder then zone 1, zone 3 harder then zone 2, and each level you need to do after the others are beaten should be like a boss fight, harder then the 1st level of the next zone. plz + so this gets noticed!
i'm not sure if this is just my computer or what, but i can't hear the music, i can hear the sound effects, but not the music, and when i toggle it off then back on i'll sometimes hear just a split second of the music, and my online save file is gone, and i'm not sure if this is just my current computer giving me a 'hey, go buy another one of this software or this update, and then i'll stop hating you.' or if its more then that. please respond asap please.
also i hear a longer burst at the launch area for music/sound please, help!
there is a minor bug, nothing important, just that in the 'deeply underwater' location, the 'swim 200 meters' thing keeps counting until it hits 300, not 200, just thought you should know that.
i'm kind of wondering, why can't I see all of the script for things that you hover over, and sometimes when i look at the text, it seems that it got cut-off, any ideas why?
dude, its a joke, get over it, once i played, i was like "hahahahaahahahahahahahhahaha! *gasp* ahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!*gasp*" and so on for like 10 minutes or so and the comments most rated are the cool guys who toll with it, so stop bein' a hater of jokes, also you can skip the loading, it tells you how in the update section.

why cant i get the horseshoe? i looked at the walkthrough and it showed him using no object, doing everything id id, and when he clicks on the horseshoe, he gets it, but when i do, it just says, "that is a beutiful horseshoe" in the walkthrough its says the same thing but with a "can i keep it?" at the end. am i doing anything wrong?
