a friend of mine did CoT5 and beat it use units that push back(ranged) and dont use attak cards where goblin is and for ranged dont use cannons (at least for me they always blow goblin to my castle)

Haloman1221: a good way to beat levels (or earlier ones) is to upgrade barracks completely and a good level for crossbow. Then use your crossbow a lot, keep hitting space bar for mana. once you get to 9999 mana keep hitting the U button to automatically summon knights or whatever species you are
stormcommando the point of retreat is if you dont THINK youll need to retreat when the eemy sounds the reinforcement horn (which btw sometimes gets really annoying )

man every time when i go out past durshlak i always encounter 2 12 unit groups at the time time and the 1st battle i either die or get severly wounded if severly wounded i got ANOTHER fight any hints on how to get throuhg that
for easy win be mountain trolls and save up money for giant trolls (most armor and damage in game!) but only send when you have charge (cause it takes long time to produce) they very strong when i sent one wave i was able to send another before the first wave was even off the map
