The "X Zilch-free games in a row" badges have got to be some of the most angry-making ones on this site. I can't even say how glad I am to finally be past them and all the other win-streak ones. At last, I can just play the game for actual fun!!
Ok, there is absolutely no reason that reviewing the endings you've already found should take you to Youtube instead of just replaying the already-loaded Flash. The fact you can't just choose one from the menu and back up a step from it to try the other path is annoying as well. Apart from those issues, it's a fun and clever toy, hope you got a good grade for it.
@Hyptosis, you've acknowledged several times that the lack of mute-button was an honest mistake, and that's fine... so are you going to do an update to put one in?
For people stuck on L15 even after watching the 'answer', the walkthrough guy's way was a ridiculous fluke that's really misleading. It works way better to put the plank around 2/3 - 3/4 of the way up instead of right at the center. +1 if this helps.
I really don't understand how even after years on this site, and multiple games developed and posted, some people can STILL forget to add a mute button. -1 star until that's fixed.
(most) Achievements: SECRET TRAINING-complete tutorial, GOT BYTZ?-get a disc, READY FOR MORE-replay a level, NEVER GIVE UP-die a bunch in one lvl, DATA COLLECTOR-get several discs, HANGING OUT-hang from a ceiling for several seconds, ENGAGE-play a usermade level, HEART BREAKER-die RIGHT in front of a portal, CONSTRUCT-submit your own level, GRAND DATA MAN-collect all discs, POWERED UP-max upgrades, GRAND INTRUSION-finish lvl15 with no deaths?, INVINCIBLE-finish a level with no deaths, MISSION COMPLETE-finish Campaign, RAN THE GAUNTLET-duh, SPEED RUN KING-more duh, FLAWLESS INFILTRATION-finish campaign with 0 deaths.
Nice little time-waster here. Very atmospheric, lovely art, and a good length from start to finish. On the downside, collision-detection is pretty bad and really needs some work. 3/5
Now this is what casual gaming is meant to be: simple, challenging, addicting, and FUN. Pity about the Kong API not working, but that's no reason not to play it anyway. Nice work!
*sigh* Once again, jmtb02 gives us a game with a slick and shiny presentation (and 4+ rating to match) that falls down completely through (obviously) a total lack of play-testing. Winning is so easy that most of the features are totally pointless. If you honestly can't finish sometime in Day 2, do you have a pulse?? And yet, to get most of the in-game achievements (or even to need anything beyond the revolver) you need to drag it out until Day 4 and beyond... but then you can't get the one for finishing by the end of Day 3! I can't understand how people with as much experience as Tass and Betz and the rest of the (alleged) play-testers keep giving the go-ahead to such wildly unbalanced games when even a single playthru should catch these huge gameplay issues. On the plus side, nice music, and all the elements are here for a really cool and challenging game, just not this one. BUT AT LEAST it isn't the broken unplayable abomination Frontier was... *shudder* so kudos for that.
In case your pop-up blocker messes up the extras-downloading, or if you just don't want to play all the way through a second time to get all 5 (poor design!), the extras are at http://www.allfreegames.eu/extra/FMH-Icon-Pack.zip and

For convenience, a list of the bonus-boxes available: 3) Triple score A) Auto-pilot [ALWAYS GET THIS] C) Clear the field [no points] D) Double-size paddle [center slot always covered] F) Fixed paddle [one random slot always covered] L) Extra life S) Slow-time U) Instant level-up [score-per-bounce x2]
Cute game, not a bad timewaster, but it's got several big annoyances that start to wear on you after awhile. 1) There should be keyboard options for sound and re/starting a new game too, since the mouse is otherwise useless. 2) The paddle should wrap around so that it's never more than 1 button-push away from a position, since moving across 2 spaces and back again in the higher levels is almost always a game-ender. 3) The combo score should actually have some effect on the actual score, or level-progress, or bonus-drops or SOMETHING... it seems totally pointless right now except for bragging-rights. 4) A level select would be helpful, since the first minute or two of each new game turns into a painfully slow slog after the 30th try. Overall 3/5, good concept but lacks the finishing touches of a really great game.
Good concept, nice job capturing the frantic atmosphere of the house-flipping business, but the execution is a bit lacking. Basically you just buy on finance, renovate everything possible, then sell without an agent (may take a few tries, but always works eventually). Buy a few cheapies outright and reno/rent them out to give yourself a good cash-stream and just focus on flipping all the rest. Do this constantly until time runs out! It's fun for awhile but the game could use a lot more variety, while several bugs including a couple of game-killers (as mentioned, when one window disappears behind another and you can't click OK to proceed) mean this game needs a bit of a renovation itself. 3/5 even so.
I am offended that this mediocre bugfest actually got badges! How such a sub-par piece of work still has a score over 4 while a REAL sim like Caravaneer scores around 0.5 lower I will never understand! How such a half-finished piece of work ever got released with that virtual Kongregate Who's-who on the testers-list (Betz, Rubix, Tass...) is even more of a mystery. Did they even actually play it?? On the bright side, the music is pretty nice.
To the developer: WHAT ON EARTH WERE YOU THINKING saving over 5000 individual files to the user's computer that altogether only contain 330kb of data! You might want to brush up on your Flash-programming technique, because there's absolutely no good reason to do that.
This may be the single worst trading-sim I've ever played. How did this half-finished game even make it to release?? Everyone on the tester's list should be ashamed of themselves! Go play Caravaneer to see how it should be done! 1/5
To get your combo score up (for the 70 feat) you have to keep killing enemy ships without ever letting the little C that appears above the adrenaline bar shrink to nothing. (Well, to almost nothing. It never totally goes away, which is kinda dumb.) This game really needs to do a better job explaining itself. That in-game "guide" is almost useless. Fun otherwise!
Spacebar mutes.
