not hardest i done (used a guide after completing game to get A's but it was easy anyway) got all badges exept the 25 lives thing, and wazup if what u say is true i can likely say HERE how to not loose life at 5 - 1 (i cant do it self, becouse its really hard and i tried alot of time so u can try) after u let the stone out, when u want the green key try jump from the small platform and grab key then try to land BACK at the platform again wicheout falling into lava, then your free to continue to the golden acorn xD)
