Sometimes the in-game mouse cursor (the sword) "carries over" to the window screen and you can't scroll left/right. I think you should change the format and narrow the game screen, it's really annoying.
It would take weeks to simply unlock Gen 3 without paying for extra research and/or extra ticks. My Gen 2 is at Lv 55 and I can't do *** with them anymore. No way to efficiently cool Thermonuclear cells. That roadblock is an intended cashgrab, nothing less.
Try to figure out a better layout OR concentrate a few maps on research only. Notice, that making more money will allow you to upgrade research centers therefore getting more research points faster. It is always a good question, which one will give better impact - concentrating on money to upgrade research OR concentrating on research now. LAST UPDATE also added a new map that should make it faster!
Maximum Level is 40, no matter what else you do, max out Regeneration, Quick Learner, Staff Mastery, Piercing Shot, Survival Training, Iron Body, Shukuchi, Soul Thirst, Nimble Footsteps. For Rings, I used Evasion, Defense (alternate: Movement), HP and Regen. For Bracelets I picked Staff Damage and Regen. A high regeneration rate allows you to focus on the boss longer while getting pummeled by weaker enemies. Don't bother jumping to hit flying enemies, hit them when they are near ground level. The lower the boss HP, the more often he will teleport, try keeping him on the screen after a teleport. If you are low on, high Movement and Evasion rates greatly help to regenerate.
Generator 2 heat conversion is way too low, I need to upgrade Generator effectiveness to Lv 33 (172m) in order to get one Gas Burner with 6 connected Generator 2's running.
Annual interest rate for most deals is between 26% and 27%. That alone is horrendous but on top of that the customer also has to accept a period of 7 years, even for loans as low as $500. Still not as bad as payday loans though.
Game is really buggy. If you quit halfway through, you can screw up the order of incidents like getting a fake ID from Craig and the very beginning and Caroline informing you right away that the two men are dead and their brains are missing.
