Nevermind, I seem to have figured it out. Shift-Clicking seems to only work on a LEGENDARY sword, not a normal/wicked/etc.
I too seem to having quite a bit of trouble using my shards. While I have been able to get it a couple of times, but for the most part, Shift Clicking on the sword doesn't seem to be working properly.

I'm having the same problem as coolbarak. I can't see the bottom row on the custom deck screen so I can't pick any of the bottom 2-3 rows.
Though it is not happening on all PC, But I will fix it on next update. Be sure, I will send you private message after fixing the issue.
