My guy always bugged everytime I tried to kills the spider and accidentally press down. It stuck above the spider sitting and do nothing but must reload it. Sucks.
The best thing you could do as beginner playing this game is read its wikia first, because, I do admit I do take steps wrong beginning, as I choose usual first two workers, I spent most of token granted for upgrades that unfortunately simply given by others player on guilds, wrong at levelling skills, and much more.
