The problem with this game is he doesn't underlay actual game logic under what we actually see. The program is run completely on the position of sprites, so lag affects this game immensely. If he kept the game logic separate from the draw layer, each time the screen is repainted it will always be correct regardless of lag. But no one does that with flash anymore, because it isn't as cool as seeing the pictures move fluidly.
