Couldn't build a real loading screen, huh? Oh well. Crappy wifi, I wonder if this thing's even still loading. Might as well go play some other games that have a real loading screen. *forgets*
People rate my comments DOWN For asking for a feature contained in almost EVERY OTHER FLASH GAME? Goodness. Better not ask for a Mute button. I could be voted off Kongregate. :P
Could we get a low-quality version for those of us who like to keep way too many tabs open or torrent or whatever? Dash Pads don't work when the game doesn't register your doubleclicks half the time due to CPU Usage being maxed out.
OMG Installing Unity was so simple. I didn't even have to restart the browser, and in 10 seconds it was over! I wish Flash and Java would take that as a hint of what is possible.
Another great idea for your not-really-a-tutorial title screen; Ink-goo flowing past the top of an open pipe, not turning off at a 90 degree pipe because it's actually behind the pipe, and instead being caught in a jug below the pipe. Haha, fooled you. You thought the Dark Fluid was actually in it, but it was behind it! Joke's on you!
And yeah, I agree with the other people that say "Hint, not walkthrough". Like, at the very least, just flash a bit of text that says "Try to get all the goo into one pipe, not two or three". That seems to be the underlying theme of the game. Also; Does it seem odd to anyone else that the goo has to travel to the bottom of the jug, and not the top of the goo level, to count as being "In the jug"? I mean, that's the opposite of fluid dynamics, right? Not that I expect total realism, but... goo level! I expect as much in future games. Goo level. It's fun to say. Goo level.
To be fair, I'm very glad you have strafe buttons. I really dislike games that don't. But how I miss the simple "turn" feature that the rest do seem to have when it's not there! I have taken it for granted. Puzzling!
Mysteries, like "Why can't I turn around?" and "What the heck are the controls for this game anyways" are ones I'm not sure I'm ready to face at this juncture in my life.
It should be more apparent in your lack of a tutorial that you can drag around jugs as well as pipes. Your "Lack of a tutorial" in this case is the title screen, with ink flowing from spouts. Put a mouse cursor in there, and drag a pipe, and then drag a jug, and then click start, and make the ink flow. Those animations were useless in helping me figure out how to beat level 2, whilst playing in offline mode. I spent like 10 minutes trying to figure it out. Lame!
@rx61 Game HAS regen health. You just gotta stay alive long enough to notice it. :P Hit water barrels to put out the fires, hit cars to knock off zombies and soldiers, and buy the first bumper upgrade ASAP.
Okay, so I only played half a level and I've got no soundcard on this machine and my browser crashed, but WOW. I am impressed! I have never seen a game done quite like this in Flash. If the audio and the rest of the game are HALF as good as people are saying... Kudos, man! Can't wait for the sequel. (And I can't wait to play this when I get home!) (And I was really looking forward to Dead Rush too!)
