I never understood the whole "cutesy Cthulhu" or "Cthulhu's on your side" or "vampires sparkle in sunlight" thing. I like my elder evils like I like my steak: ancient and evil.
What bothers me most about this game is not that it's slow as molasses (even on a beast PC), or the lack of conclusion, or even the lack of a color blind setting (seriously, now). What REALLY bothers me is the total lack of regard for color theory. "Okay now, I've got a purple guy, purple's red + blue so red and blue should be adjacent... NOPE blue and green. Green is next to yellow and blue? NOPE yellow and purple. Come on, dead simple stuff that would have made the game far better.
Been gone for a few days since I just had a baby, find myself kicked out of my city and dropped into some nowhere town. Well, guess I'm done playing this game.
The problem with this game is you can't have a specialty shop. I picked up the druid and the tailor, and I make stuff for magic users. I make magic clothes, enchanted jewelry, staves, potions, etc.. But when the guard comes into what's clearly a magic shop looking for half-plate, I'm the idiot? Please.
TheSnickaz: "Hey new players! You're stupid if you try to play this whole section of the game." Maybe I thought the developers had an intelligent duel matchmaking system? And since they don't, maybe they should do that.
As a level 23 player, I just got murdered by a level 105 player with a deck twice mine's size in a duel. That should never happen. Why was I matched up against that guy?
For anyone who thinks you need to spend real money to buy packs: I just learned today, and it's not made clear by the game, that you buy packs with coins OR gold. So you can buy packs (including Gold) without spending real money.
The More You Know
This game is like someone inviting you to find a quarter they've hidden in a room and, after you search, reveals that they hid it in their pocket. Yes, they've technically followed the rules, but they've missed the spirit of the game, and the player is likely to be only frustrated.
So, some advice to the artist:
1. Texture "differences" are not real differences. Stop that right now.
2. When the highest rated comments say things like "clean your screen," you've done something wrong. Yes, making the differences really tiny makes the game harder, but it's not the kind of hard people want to play.
It's your job hide the biggest, most obvious changes that frustrate us because we SHOULD have seen them. This makes you look clever. Instead, you've made the game frustrating because four pixels is really hard to see, NOT because you were clever.
