at the start, choose alien (more shields and stronger weapons, makes the hard badge faster) ... buy a sprinter as soon as you start the game, get hyperdrive ($2k), and then the $10k engine upgrade, doing only courier missios ... find the best-paying ones you can ($2-3k per mission), starting from the sector you're currently in ... once you have hyperdrive, each mission should take under a minute to complete ... save up until you've got $100k, again doing only courier missions, and then buy the guardian ... get the enhanced interstellar sprinter engine ($50k) immediately ... with the hyperdrive this gives you, top speed becomes less important, since you'll get to whereever you need to be for missions pretty much instantly ... i used photon cannon for short range enemies, and type 2 carnivore missiles for long-range, but that's more up to your play style
now that the white screen loading bug has been fixed ... after 10 months ... i've upped my rating from 1/5 to 4/5 ... now if only badges would award properly, i'd revise it to a 5/5 ...
went with heavy tank, never devolved ... easy game, killed final boss efore realizing that was the last boss ... but have been hunting around for 20mins since then, can't find the BFT or Destroyer ...
Using this team, i'm now at level 48 ... the first 3 levls were a little difficult, since it takes a while before the INT (and END to some degree) clerics to become powerful ... but since lvl 10, haven't had any charcters die during battles ... PROS to this team: reliable, keeps itselfhealed, low reliance on potions/shrines, high life/power regen, heavy armor ... CONS to this team: slow battles, need to grind through the entirety of the first 30-odd levels, very gear-dependent ... so far taken me about 6 hours to get to my current point ... and while slow to start, as the levels progress, it becomes faster ...
for the imposible badge, the surest way is to use 4 clerics ... a pure END cleric in the middle-front, 2 pure STR clerics on either side-front ... and a pure INT lceric at the middle-back ... all frontline unite should focus on speed/life regen/dmg/power regen in that order, and will serve as blockers and main dmg dealers ... the INT cleric at the back should focus on power regen/speed/increased healing/armor in that order ... the frontline units will be attacking using mostly fervour, and the cleric at the back should be pimarily keeping the whole team healed, and debuffing the enemies ... wen no healing/debuffing is needed, our INT cleric can dish some serious dmg with Litany of Pain ...
same complaint as many others here ... blantantly lying to players with a walkthrough button that doesnt give any walkthrough ... rated 1/5, and flagged.
Part 3:
For the ret of your ingredients, craft as many Oil of Polishing as you feel you need, and apply them inside a dungeon ... each one gives +1 prtection to a random piece of armor, so dont use these until you have equipped the best armour possible in every slot ...
after you'r happy with your defense, craft as many Meat of Toughening/Meat of Harnessing as you feel necessary, and again, apply these inside a dungeon ... these give you +10P/+5MP PERMANENTLY ...
You're now ready to whizz through the rest of the game at your leisure ... you should now be able to kill even the hardest enemies in 2-3 hits at most (usually only 1 hit), and on the rare occasions when you do get hit, you'll be leeching 50-100HP per hit you make ...
Total time for all badges: about 5hrs.
Part 2:
So, now my equipped weapon deals 12D50, which equates to 12-600 base damage ... in realistc terms, this equates to 3-400 dmg per hit against demons ... 2nd run through the mystery dungeon takes about 15minutes, and this time, we use our gold to max out tailoring/cooking, with leftover gold going into buying crafting ingredients ... this time, we want to craft whatever equipment gives us the highest Hp and MP leech, +protection is unimportant at this stage ... I went with the Mystical hairgrip at this stage for the 20% HP leech on it, and a few other items ...
Here's a few tips for anyone finding the game a bit difficult at first ...the first 3 hours or so of this game is mostly just grinding your way through the dungeons, doing defense quests only as needed to progress with the storyline ... first grinding to get the biggest (30-slot) backpack ... then grinding for enough stats to complete vl25 of the mystery dungeon ... however the first completed run of the mystery dungeon netted enough gold to max out my artistry/blacksmithing/alchemy, with enough left over for a few ingredients packs from the shop ... used these ingredients to craft a Strategies of Timald (1D50 mage weapon) as well as about a dozen Potions of Enchantment (well, 11 actually, but maybe that was partly luck too?) ... hopped into the free sewers dungeonto apply the potions of enchantment, and headed straight out ...
To get the game completion badge quickly, pick the Demon race. First, save up for mounted spearmen, you'll be using these for your charges, and you'll never need to spend gold purchasing any other units. For the rest of the game, prioritse your upgrades in this order: !. Spear training; 2. Increased armour; 3. Speed training. First get each f these three upgrades up to lvl 5. Except for charges, the only unit you'll need will be your spearmen; fully upgraded the're outdamage and outlast pretty much any other unit except the giant mountain trolls ... plus they've got an awesome spawn rate, an with all the speed upgrades we got earlier, they're at the same speed as base level scouts.
1/5 games with locked features that require real money to pruchase should advise players of this fact UP FRONT,not after spending time playing ... 1/5 for this game, and the same rating will be given to any future games from this developer.
this is a horrible game ... if you click outside the game window during the game, for instance when you get the easy badge, and you click the achievemnts tab, the game freezes, and needs to be reloaded ... but then, since there's no save function, you have to start again from the beginning ... for this bug, gave it 1/5.
the loading bar gets to 8840/9422kb ... and then gets stuck ... still connected to kong chat (reen light in the corner), internet connection working fine ...
Found a bug with this game ... in the colisseum, when fighting the first boss (the spectre one), if you hit him too much when he's next to a wall, you can sometimes push him *into* the wall, at which point he disappears from the game screen. Once that happens, only way to continue is to save and exit, then start the colisseum over again ...
wish potions would stack ... got a dozen or so heal pots in my warehouse ... now just sell all the potions i find ... deal enough dmg to not need them anyways, and they just take up precious inventory space ... but even with upgrades, the inventory just isn't big enough
