I really do love this series but this sucks hard. Playing a slow, detailed style for 2 weeks, 65hour save file. Open up Chrome to play for a bit and VOILA! 0 save files. I didn't clear history/cookies or anything. Anyone know what's up with this?
I would really like to know what happened to my save files from yesterday. I'm replaying the game for the 3rd time and I hate that about 4 hours of my life are apparently just gone for no apparent reason.
It might be overrated as a game in general, but as a TD game, it really is very good. I'm sure it's getting an awful lot of love from TD lovers everywhere.
I've beat the last battle 3 times in a row now and it just freezes there with the last enemy sitting on the floor. Now, I got the achievement so I can't complain too much, but when you have achievements and whatnot to make you continue playing after you've beaten the game, this makes it far less likely that players (like me anyways) will ever come back.
It's really irritating to spend time on a game where the boss ends up being tough enough that skill won't help you at all if you're not just lucky as can be.
It seems to me that you need to add a point to playing this. Unless I'm missing something, how well you do is based only on how long you feel like doing the same thing over and over again. I guess it works as something to kill time but it feels like you have the skill to turn it into a decent game.
It may not have a kill counter, but it does show the level. If you finish the game on easy that should be more then enough enemies killed for the badge. Just take a SS of the "game over" screen after you finish the game and send it in. It should be enough.
I don't see how the skull is a big deal, it only becomes difficult when you're going for speed. If you're just trying to beat the game, it's a very simple, watch for the pattern and do your thing. And if you're going for speed and complaining, wtf do you expect from a hard badge?
9 times out of 10 I can't join a room. 30-40% of the games I did manage to get going after creating a room or getting lucky and getting in someone elses ended up freezing after someones shot didn't register which led to everyone getting kicked out of the game and noone getting credit/xps for the match. What a waste of time and space.
Maybe it's just me but the 50% failure rate on the level 4 compose is just downright stupid. It makes no sense to bother with even trying for it when half the time you're going to lose all the bonuses the item already has. Either lower the failure rate or lower the penalty or you might as well just get rid of the level 4 bonuses. It's hard enough to build up materials, stones especially, without losing hours of play on the flip of a coin.
What in the world is wrong with you people? Did you all fail kindergarten or something? Seriously, anyone who can't do a few simple connect the dot pictures in under 2 minutes should really think twice before complaining and making yourself look like a complete buffoon.
I love this game, always have, but damn, I'm sick and tired of not being able to control the NPC's and constantly having to sit there and watch them do stupid, stupid, stupid things time after time.
Hey jymalpha, there is a followup, it's called the "Monster's Den: Book of Dread" and it's here and on other sites. It's the same basic game with a lot of updates. He's apparently been working on a sequel as well.
