Not bad, but I'd lose the Mario/Zelda references or make them more key to the game. The core mechanic is a neat idea, but it seems more frustrating than anything else... There's no limits on it, so it feels more like making me jump through hoops to change from 'shooting' to 'jumping' than anything else. Still, food try!
Good try! Unfortunately, not great. At least you did try for something neat, though. Maybe make it do something more interesting than reseting the level if the maze changes while the player is on a 'wall'?
This game has an incredible amount of 'polish' on little details like the countdown to restore loss gems advancing properly when the fast forward to next wave button is used.
