It looks alike, however in Touhou the keys are distributed differently (and, in my opinion, more efficiently…but maybe it’s just because I’m so used to them): -Arrows to move. That, and no use of the mouse…the aiming seriously takes a good chunk of my concentration. And the fact that you turn while aiming can be a bit confusing at times. Still, great game. We need more bullet hell games on Kongregate. show less

The only point of interest (the core) doesn’t move when you turn. The use of the mouse to aim adds additional gameplay not see in many bullet hells (granted, I haven’t used as much of this as I intend to in the future). It also forces the controls to be different. Since the right hand is used for the mouse (primarily), the left hand must be on WASD or the arrow keys. Spacebar is about the only button for the left hand that’s not terribly cumbersome to hit. Of course, I’m open to suggestions on other control schemes. You probably had a good deal of difficulty controlling with your left hand. If you have any ideas, let me know! show less |
