i believe the idea behind the aliens being affected by normal guns is because the parasites are different, and evolved to take over a host body or machine, but lost the "invulnerability" to conventional weapons.

my strategy, start with one rocket launch er, max everything on it, then 2 cannon, next to launcher for nuke combo then several cannon combos for mines

ark, thugh increasing the PH wold do less damage, it actually depends muw much of an increase there is. if its too base it could kill as well

ive cut through really long deadzones, its very hard, need lotsa speed and butloads of regens, i used about 10 core regens and 10 shell regens(parts not howmany times)

it keeps resetting my progress still
