this game is far too unbalanced, after you get a miner, about 30 seconds in, clicking becomes obsolete. you don't get materials fast enough to keep up with you miner's upgrades, by the time I got one better pick, the defense on the rock my miners were tearing apart was too high for me to do damage. one piece of advice to players, even though you make slightly less money, go for rocks that take longer, because random events happen according to how fast you mine, faster = more
what language is that at the end? I went to try to translate, I swear I recognize it from somewhere, but I couldn't find it in any of the old alphabets.
I think you should go for gamemaker studio, the advice I'm giving you is generic to all languages, but so far I only know java and vb6. in the future I plan on expanding.
try setting up some basic ais, see if you can get an object to follow or run away. also the final screen needs either walls or a function to teleport back up
Ok, ill try some of that. Also, are you experienced with Construct 2? I'm having a bit of trouble getting the title screen and buttons to work properly.
-Edit:
Also, if you aren't experienced in Construct 2 and can't help me, I'll try to remake the game in Game Maker Studio 8.1 because I'm more experienced in that.
a good beginning effort, a couple of tips, loop the music, make jumping a priority, it seems to be a little unresponsive. and make it more clear which blocks are decoration, maybe slightly translucent? 3/5 for effort, keep it up!
timeracers, it looks to me more like a test, a project used to ease into learning programming. posting it online might not be necessary, but the game itself very much is. 3/5 for someone doing their best to learn
That was an incredible experience. my only suggestion would be to have the ability to send about half of the units in one planet, otherwise splitting up massive groups can only be done with perfect timing in entering and leaving a planet, maybe have the current version(without unit splits) as hardcore mode. personally I found the challenge of being at a slight disadvantage controllwise thrilling, but I know there are people who would find it unfair.
