I really need to be honest about this; the 3d really doesn't work out well on this game the same way as the graphics for the others. If you really are just testing out the 3d graphics with a simple demo, consider this a learning experience. I really think you should stick to the 2d graphics.
Unfortunately, the inability to control exactly where I'm shooting at any given time destroy the playability of this game for me. Strafing isn't a good fix for a broken mechanic. A better control method would be to have an 8-way shot (via a qwedcxzaq or numpad square) along with mouse movement. Also, the mouse movement near the edge of the screen should simply stop at the edge of the screen rather than dragging off the edge of the screen and lagging your movement. A better way to toggle between game mouse and off-screen mouse is to enable off-screen mouse only while the game is paused. Anyway, that's my 2-cents, take it with a grain of msg.
I just want to let everybody know--you *can* wipe your game progress by clearing your browser cache. I know it's a heavy handed way of doing it, but it is an option. Just also be aware that when you start upgrading again, if you get 3 junk weapons shuffled up, you're not going to be able to reshuffle again until you purchase one, so selectively purchasing certain upgrades is going to be somewhat reliant on RNG unless you have a reshuffle option.
Woo I haven't had this much fun playing an action game in so long! The music really keeps you going especially the music for the greed-fueled king. We need more cards to upgrade the town, we need more stages after the greed-fueled king so we can ante up some more, maybe take on the gambler devil, we need some way to keep gold relevant after all the upgrades ;-D I really want to see some more stuff for this game.
Game Bug: When the Dark Ritual Bonus breaks the Signed Long Integer variable cap, it becomes negative and starts decreasing for every dark ritual cast.
Mystery Boxes shouldn't be able to give nothing. There was a bug before that would cause the game to hang sometimes when you opened a mystery box, but I'm pretty sure I've fixed it. Have you tried refreshing?
I would really love to know where to find that music from the time trial with the gradually increasing tension. If vitamines did it, I couldn't find it on their facebook or soundcloud.
This game has a lot of promise, but it has some really serious performance issues that need to be addressed. The game stutters every 5 seconds, missed clicks on the game, missed keystrokes as I'm typing my comment, stuttering in the animations and sound. These performance issues really need to be researched and fixed or the good points about this game are going to be ignored.
There needs to be a repeatable source of diamonds somehow in this game - for instance after each rebirth if you reach girlfriend level or higher with a girl you are able to earn the diamonds from that accomplishment again. The way it is now, there's no way to take advantage of gilding or diamond purchases with only about 60 diamonds total to earn.
The point and click interface on this game is broken. The items only activate when they are supposed to once in a while, the rest of the time, they are broken and don't even do anything. It took me 15 minutes to chop down the tree because the hatchet wouldn't activate and now the fire won't activate because I can't get the newspaper, kindling, wood, or match to activate. I also can't give the items to the goat because they won't activate either.
Ah, darn. Sorry about that. Everything seemed to work fine when I tested it on different browsers and machines. I'll see what I can do to fix this.
To anyone experiencing problems, what browser and version are you running?
Wow, I have to admit this was really amazing. The throwback to command line functionality created an odd nostalgia which I found intriguing, and the fact that it made you do some real world research to discover the clues was a wonderful addition to the gameplay. I can't wait for the next episode. Keep up the good work, oh and put in some more puzzles for tech savvy old timers like me who used to work on command-line ibms ;-D
I've heard from someone else also not seeing the new version. I'm re-uploading it, maybe something went sideways the first time.
