This game becomes literally 500 times easier once you realise you can jump to the car straight in front of you (Z+up).

So, wait, you're saying the point is to hire people to play an incredibly boring game for me while I do something else? I'd much rather play an interesting game myself...

Look, I want a game that I can actually play. Not a game where I decide to upgrade my catapult and my silo and then have to wait a couple of hours before I can do anything else. I want a game I can play without having to spend £3.50 to buy $5 to buy 50 Kreds to buy 500 Shiny to buy an extra construction guy. I want a game that understands that my friends don't give a flying expletive that I've just upgraded a silo to level 4 and that they are not so shallow as to base their opinion of me on the awesomeness of my goo factories. If you'd just let me play the game for more than two minutes at a time, give me a decent way to earn Shiny by playing and stop badgering me to spam my friends, I'd really enjoy it. If you let me get hooked on it instead of annoying me and telling me to go away instead of playing, I might even buy some Shiny to help my progress. But I'm not gonna give money to somebody who nags me when I'm trying to have fun, OK?

What on earth is the point of having an unlimited-use button that allows you to instantly complete any construction job with five minutes or less remaining? Why not just have that happen automatically? Just take five damned minutes off the completion time of everything.

For my taste, this just gets too difficult, too quickly. I came here because I wanted to have some fun, not because I wanted to get frustrated failing to do the same thing again and again.

For the hard badge, you need to complete all the levels, with ten of them at less than the par score. One way of doing that is to hit the join of two wood blocks, which cracks both of them and saves you a shot. Another is that sometimes, if you fire into a wood block at a very oblique angle, your ball will crack it, bounce off some other part of the level and hit the block again to break it. To save on hunting through levels where the par score is one or two and can't possibly be improved on, here are the levels where I beat par: 1-3, 1-6, 1-20, 2-3, 2-8, 2-9, 2-11, 2-12, 2-13, 2-17. There are probably others, too. Some of these levels can be done two shots below par but you don't get any extra credit for that. I hope that's helpful for people who're looking for the hard badge.

Nice idea but the precision required when jumping is just too high for the game to be fun. Level 1 was fine. I couldn't understand what I was supposed to do for Level 2 so I skipped ahead to Level 3. After twenty or so unsuccessful attempts to get across the place where you have to jump from conveyor platform to conveyor platform I got bored and went to play another game.

Level 21: Three times, I've followed the recipe in the walkthrough and three times, the zombie has been badly injured but not killed by the circular saws. That's really poor level design -- it seems to be just luck whether the player succeeds or not.

Very easy. Contrary to much of the advice, clicking fast works just fine most of the time -- just make sure you click on the really big blobs before they land and break into smaller pieces!

Nice graphics, nice idea. But using the arrow keys for moving northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest just isn't intuitive. After playing three or four times, I still keep pressing the wrong arrow and I'd rather spend my time having fun with a different game than learning how to control this one properly.

The imprecision of the controls compared to the precision of the required jumps makes this a very annoying game. Maybe it's just my computer but it seems impossible to move less than about three character-widths at a time, which makes it extremely difficult to make a long jump onto a narrow platform: let go of the arrow a fraction too soon and you land short; a fraction too late and you run right off the other side and usually fall to your death.

Yes, the One Church becomes problematic after a long time, with people leaving the city to become zombies and throwing themselves off the walls while celebrating. However, I only found that out for myself when I played a game trying to conquer the whole of a large city. I already had the game won three different ways by the time the Church started to become a problem. So, if you're trying to win the game just once, you should accept the Church as it will keep your people happy and not actually cause any problems; if you do want to play a really long game and grind out the whole map, the Church maybe isn't such a good idea.

This is a really well done sequel. I can't think of anything that was better in the original than in this new version and, at the same time, the game hasn't become overly-complicated. The harder levels also seem rather better-balanced than they were in the original. Great game!

I don't get it. All the comments are talking about this amazing game where you swim around and catch beautiful fish and there's this great storyline and maybe even some life-changing philosophical insignts. But the game I'm playing involves swimming around shooting at collections of lines, buying upgrades that don't seem to make much difference and occasionally reading about some dude who's bored of fishing. This just doesn't seem interesting and I feel like either I'm missing something or my brain is just wired fundamentally differently to everyone else's. What's going on?

Mouse control is awkward and there's nothing to control that couldn't be done perfectly well with the keyboard. And it should be possible to spend upgrade points on repairs to your ship. Aside from that, it's a good reinvention of asteroids.

People are saying that this is more balanced than the previous versions but I don't see how it can be. I spent a few minutes looking through the characters abilities and deciding which to spend my upgrade point on and then one of them got killed by a single hit from the first monster I met. How is that balanced? Also, the movement system is really annoying as you keep having to move the mouse to the bottom right to click "move all" or "end turn". Hotkeys, please!

When I am ruler of the universe, it will be illegal to release a game with no mute button. No, I'm not going to turn the sound off on my computer because I want it on for email and chat notifications. I also find the controls to be really awful but there's no way to redefine them.

Overall, a nice game but two complaints. First, why a two-key combo to drop down? Surely one key should do! Second, there are a few too many places where you have to jump from exactly the right point or you miss a ledge and have to retrace your steps for quite a way to try again. It should be a bit more forgiving of these things.
