I think it would be a more entertaining game in general if the wizard were simply removed along with her block color. The lane the wizard is in requires absolutely no attention at all, so that lane is already largely pointless. All the wizard contributes is skills, and a completely safe lane, but no real impact on game difficulty beyond adding a block color to the board. The least fun aspect of the game is scrambling to find the 1 or 2 possible matches, because there are too many colors on the board for there to be more. There might be more room for actual strategy with 1 less color on the board.
Those hovering text boxes that explain the obvious are extremely obnoxious. They cover things I want to see, and are generally more intrusive than they are helpful. I would love an ability to toggle them off.
I don't mind most of the things others have complained about, and enjoy the game. Having said that, one thing strikes me as odd. The innkeeper progressively charges more as you gain levels. Who price gouges their savior based on how likely he is to save them? It makes sense when there are multiple cities and some just charge more than others, but this is the same guy.
The Apprentice can be beaten. He just has massive amounts of hitpoints. Give it time.
If you kill him with a L1 mana scholar, it will level it up to 30 though.
What I have always wanted in these games was a fast forward button, and a way to tell your units to STOP MOVING. Maybe I do not want my ranged units slowly exposing themselves because they cannot be bothered to sit still.
