This game gets more fun as time goes on and you win some of the early boards - I'd stick to one nationality to play for a while before trying to change them, and there are easier enemies, sometimes the same nationality, that you'll find as you play around with them. I agree with the earlier comments about the ease of the game - in the extended mode, I got to lvl 53 before my game crashed and I wouldn't fire any longer, and I highlighted the whole screen in green as the hover mech didn't clear, perhaps a problem with the flash. Also, at that point, I had over $200K in gold, and no place to use it - Earthworks for the whole square - cannons at the center and the corners, and green coats on every other square. It can use some work, but overall 5 stars from me!
Engineers don't track, thus the fix doesn't help them - stuck with two, and 2 more waves to finish the level! Gotta be a 'attack' move by the defenders.
Follow up to my Macedonian Scout Calvary comment - if you just overrun them all the time with calvary, they can't stand, and eventually lose on moral - makes the game kinda boring, so I've developed no calvary, and worked on playing with just others. Developer needs to make a fix on the MSCs.
Macedonian Scout Calvary is a solo unit - just train more and more - 99 takes any army - just kill the foot soldiers until they have none, then over run them - VERY Easy!!
Controls are very difficult and unforgiving - the physics is taken a bit far - I quit after the first level - didn't feel like struggling with it any longer.
This game could have potential, but as it is right now, there is none - controls are simplistic, though difficult when a havester hides behind, or under the trees, and you can't see them. Upgrades would be better - stopped playing after level 4
