I'm not sure if you read this, but I suggest you do. I like your game a lot, infact, I think you should make a map editor, which we can build a custom map with custom starting units and buildings. When you are finished, you would save it, and get the code of your level. You can share that with your friends, and it could be very fun.
Another option could be multiplayer, where we could wait in a lobby, and join games which we want to play.
There would be a more-info button too, to show you the map and layout of units.

Monso, I'm having the same problem. I'm using 10% CPU and 600 MB of RAM to run this. It's still laggy as hell.
I'll try it with IE8 and then see if I run it better.

James's strategy worked. It broke a few time (I made all 4 corners) and the left side became decimated but to catch the bat try making one corner the gold corner. Do all or mostly gold webs there and you will win if the bat comes there.
