Moneymaking guide:
Train on goblins until you have about 100gp. Then start killing cows. ALWAYS take cowhide, it will get the most money. After you have about 300 cowhide, go to Al Kharid and turn it into hard leather. Then, sell the hard leather at Varrock in Grand Exchange. Repeat for as many times as nessesary.
As soon as you can kill varrock guards without them hurting you, go train on them. ALWAYS pick up the clue scrolls they sometimes drop. Go to www.runehq.com for cluscroll guides. Clue scrolls are how I made my first 400k.
After doing that, it's time to pick up a profitable skill. I would choose mining or woodcutting. Guides for these also on Runehq.

You can starslide in the same way you tailslide. Just be corkscrewing near a rift (twinkly golden things in space) and you'll starsilde. By the way, if you start the starslide while you are horizontal you get more speed than if you are vertical.
