Was going to make some disparaging remark about "distant-near future" until I actually played the game. The irreverance was wonderful and the dialogue between the characters was actually something to look forward to rather than skip. "I have a condition" actually made me laugh out loud. Only change I would make would be to add a graphic change to the enemies when affected by the EMP. Currently they just look like they're frozen in mid-motion. However, this is really a well done game. 5/5 for the genre.
I swear, this game has a shorter play time than donkey kong. I don't know what all those 0s are for under the coin section. I've only made it to 4 digits one time, and I'm pretty sure that was absolute luck.
Seems to be completely locked for me. Can't get past the menu. Just spins and says Loading. Never gets anywhere. Music, though cute, gets annoying while watching a Loading sign that never does... load.
Great game. However, warn a guy that he can't have more than 8 of any card. I've been collecting these Spectrum Cores (1 a day) for as long as I've been playing, waiting to upgrade things. Was stunned to discover I only had 8.
This is tough, because I don't think that this yet deserves a rating of 4 or higher, but it's interesting, and the developer has done a good job of making us want to see what happens next, which seems to necessitate a higher rating. So what the heck 5/5. Let's find out what's next.
Thanks! I'm really hoping people enjoy the story and the gameplay enough to rate it up! I really appreciate it, some people really don't realize that every rating really makes a difference!
Keep having the same bug... I think on level 7. It's the level that you have to jump back and forth on the sticky wall. Once you get to the top there are three death boxes with sticky on the ceiling. If I touch the death boxes, I bloat up to a weird shape and the game freezes with me dead. If I try to Esc out, I end up on the menu screen, still bloated and dead, unable to move. I have repeated this five times now... and yes, I've died five times to the same stupid obstacle. Thanks for that, too.
Very nicely done. Only thing I would change, in keeping with the spirit and feel of the game, is the heart/sound effect that comes when you finish a level. Something a little less cliche. That said, brilliantly done. Nice execution of a game with a story. I truly enjoyed it.
Very fun... unfortunately, unlike Rogue, this was just too short. Just when I started to get a rhythm it was over. That said, Mage is incredibly overpowered. Those poor shmoos that have to get within striking distance of an enemy don't stand a chance compared to the mage that can just pluck away from a distance. I'd also ask for a little more description on what the potions do. The healing is self explanatory, but the rest don't indicate their purpose without trying them out first.
