So after almost making myself into the shard talent tree, game crashed while exporting and lost my save. I think it's over for me. The game deserves a 4 still for being original.
If buying new talents change nothing (no new skills, no new inventory slots, etc), then your rebirth might be bugged (you entered the item system but auto-rebirth didn't disable).
To fix this, I followed @TerrorTera's steps to delete game data: first export and backup your game, then close game and delete folder appdata/roaming/mozilla/firefox/profiles/(actual profile)/storage/default/https+++game283835.konggames.com .
Now restart the game and import your save and you will be able to rebirth (you lose only items as intended) but can gain new talents.
This game has been a sweet discovery, bringing new surprises with every new building bought or enemy defeated and different gameplays with each race. I hope there were more incremental games like this.
As a deadtective, I like listening to people's version before making any assumption. So I lost a point at the very beginning of the game and have to play it again :(. Still 5/5 even though I'll stay at 6/7.
The character at the intro died to the skeleton before the last one (viking helmet, and corpse was left behind a tree), then the game got stuck, with no option to even go back to menu.
@thepeasant: I used to play the unascended version, but the game wasn't giving me the legacy reward. Now it's given me a Turban, which I believe is the legacy reward.
@bshimoda: auto-research automatically clicks on researches with a research time less than 1 ms. To see the difference, disable it and do a big crunch. As you build stuff, your research tab will be filled with new researches. Now enable auto-research and most of them will be auto-researched.
After buying >1e19 in stocks I was left with -2048 tangerines... So I double-or-nothing'ed them and lost them. Now I'm at 0 tangerines plus stocks :D
