Before adding further updates like iron stuff, progressions etc, i think you should improve the engine itself.
* Make it less slow : it takes 2 seconds after you cliked the tree, to give you 1 log, same delay for the rocks. And im even not talking about the fights.
* make the screen smaller, pixelart is really not for huge screens, i had to reduce my screen size to 40%.
* Why after collecting only 1 ressource, you decided to put us back to previous screen, just add a "back" button, as in crafting screen.
* Add a retreat button in the fight screen
* An inventory is kind of a mantadory stuff in that kind of game.
Still lots of stuff to add and improve before that game start to be interesting.
But don't give up.
Thanks for the info, I actually did think myself the game was slow, but thanks for pointing out what could be done. I will probably do some of what you said, including a fix with the 'Help' screen. For now, since I have hit the event limit on the demo, adding a retreat button would be impossible. Once again thank you for the advice, this is my first game i have officially published anywhere, so I am up for all sorts of advice. -Frost
Unity Web Player games are STILL playable EITHER on Chrome, Firefox, or Edge browsers.
Developpers learn to use unity instead of trying to promote other browsers.
Too bad i can't rate it 0 stars!
Somes bugs appear in this game.
You can not clik more than once on some Hints
- the crate down right in 2nd screen
- the hint scraped on table in 4th screen (hint for left/right buttons)
- and may be more cause i stopped playing after those 2 bugs
PS : using chrome browser
It's a nice start, but i have some comments to make.
1st, you should add a key for sprinting. 2nd, i've remained stuck in a door space in the village. 3rd you should reduce mouse sensitivity (turning too quickly), 4th (and last) foot step on grass or dirt should not sound like on stone.
Anyway, i love this game, keep on updating it.
Is there actually anything else to do than just clicking on trees to collect wood.
Anyway, there's nice graphics and soft moves, so if it's actually just a 1st step in development, then it looks promising.
I will still wait further updates before rating it :)
This is just the first step as the description says. It is being developed and a new update will come out weekly or sooner depending on what i get done. In the next update there should be more to do :)
I love that idea.
Suggestions :
* Don't reduce speed so drastically when rock/planet becomes huge. (reducing it is ok, but not that much)
* Attraction radius should be proportional to the rock/planet size (very small radius when rock, big radius when planet)
* Other corpses should also be able to grow when eating smaller corpses
* trying to "eat" bigger corpses should destroy us (and make game start back)
* Adding a zoom option when you grow bigger and bigger (in order to "meet" other planets)
* Adding a mission, like becomeing massive enough to become a black hole for example)
I hope these ideas would help you improving the game, keep on developing it. It's already a good start.
3 stars for now!
Basic Zombie lab only creates scientists.
Zombie Lab turned into Basic Zombie Lab after creating a walker (or after sending him out of bunker, not sure).
