This feels like it has potential, need more to do with money, by the time you're 2/3rds through I already had all the equipment I wanted. Didn't buy heavy armour as action points felt more useful
Reasonably fun, though the hit % does seem a bit weird sometimes, with the weirdly long miss streaks and clustering of misses. Maybe something up with the way random numbers are done? Hard to tell for certain without making notes.
In response to Xagran's comment, in the book the tripods could be taken out with a lucky hit by canon shot, which makes some sense as their armour is heavily optimised against their own tech and probably haven't seen use of kinetic weapons in centuries. The point in the book is that tripods are nimble/fast enough so that you only ever get that one shot, so most kills mentioned are from ambush situations.
But enough of the book, nicely done game :)
The AI on the janitors seems kind of stupid sometimes, they walk right past trash and don't seem to be picking anything like an optimum cleaning strategy >_<
ARGH! I just can't seem to get the solve command to work properly on Bobby Loves computer, tried reading the nsimple thing, but it doesn't seem to work like the game implies >_<
Definitely has some nice improvements on the last game in terms of structure and presentation (like how you've done the costumes), but it still has the main issue, in that it gets laggy as hell after a while. Refreshing periodically works, but it's not an excusable solution.
Even on hard the AI does make some monumentally bad decisions, at one point he moved his warmachine into range of two of my rockets.
That said, still a good game.
