Loved the original, this one's really good, but the lack of level select hurts. I got about half way when I realized I missed a page. Not going all the way to the beginning. I'll wait until level select is put in.
Imagine a Papa's Pizzeria game where the ingredients you work with are a cactus, a shoe, and a wet tissue, and people come in and order in hieroglyphics. Actually, no, that game would actually be interesting.
For the most of us who are here because of BOTD, just grind the first level killing one person at a time and get the F out. There are much more rewarding games to waste your time "getting the hang of."
Seems like it could be a fun game, but when it asks you to grind just to get past the SECOND stage it makes me wonder what it's gonna take to beat this game. Like Mr. Miyagi says, you need balance.
The last level is as thankless as an idle game that demands your undivided attention. I imagine Sisyphus would rather roll a boulder up a hill than play it. The other levels are fun though!
I just started playing this and already the game imbalance has rendered grinding to be "go into battles you used to win, but lose repeatedly, and get a fraction of the XP." Nah.
What did you about the difficulty, too challenging or not?
