Fun game, up until the point where I suddenly lost the ability to jump.
I think the time-slow power glitched it.
Anyway, love the concept. The Lady of the Lake giving Arthur a rifle made my day. (=
The Excalibur upgrade says "No damage from melee contact, except on bosses and blade mechs" but it seems that every 2nd or 3rd enemy I run into instantly strips me of my shields. Regardless of what kind of enemy they are. /=
The options keep resetting every time I play the game. This is somewhat irritating as I like to play with Auto-fire off. Is it just the game doing this, or is it something to do with my browser's data storage?
This game is wonderful. There should definitely be a sequel at some point.
If there is ever a sequel, it should keep the very quick progression/combat. I feel that being able to move quickly from battle to battle with little to no part management and simple choices in event rooms was something that makes this game unique.
There are other games like this with heavy emphasis on inventory/party management, and they just get so complicated and dull after a while, they fail to hold my interest for long.
This game REALLY needs a reset button before the end of the wave. Far too many times I have missed first blood, or lost the flag, and had to wait for them to destroy the temple before I could try again. Also, if you don't go strength immediately (at least has Hercules) Harpies are near impossible to hit.
Amazing how on top of things every single country is, they start exterminating rodents and insects within mere minutes of the evolution of my non-lethal disease.
The option to have health bars display over your units would be nice. Or at least have them flash red when they are critically damaged. Most of the time, I'll be playing normally then suddenly half of my station just melts away without warning. It is quite irritating.
Call of Death can 1-shot your Lord's Avatar, and still convert of most of your units. I wouldn't mind if it did one or the other, but both is a bit much.
I want to love this game, I really do. I love gladiator games. But this game is bogged down by so many poor design choices (Most notably, the controls) that prevent it from being good. I just can't enjoy it...
Very, very good game, but I have found 2 flaws.
(1)You can't change direction while slashing.
(2)Periodic frame-rate drops that make the game run in slow motion.
Other than these two points, the game is fantastic. (=
