This kind of pixel-level microsecond precision on the last level—when the entire game up to that point has been much more forgiving—is pretty unacceptable.
Like: the simple mechanic, the music that coordinates with the action. Dislike: sometimes you can back up one move, sometimes have to reset the level; sometimes (seemingly randomly) a ball fails to "catch" in the hook or in a goal or in a redirect box, so you have to back up or restart the level.
Where in the game does it tell us where angel wings come from? It seems like there must be a whole game mechanic involving them (they certainly seem to be required for all the more advanced buildings), but I can't figure out where/how to acquire or produce them. What am I missing?
This colour grid puzzle is a beast. I've found the hint for it, tried lining up the grid with the same colour pattern as in the hint, with different colour patterns that make the symbols match up, and even went to the trouble of finding a layout using all nine colours exactly once that *also* matches up the edge symbols. Still nothing. What the heck is the hint telling me to do? (Also stuck on a hexagon puzzle that I have the hint for. Sigh.)
Generally good but I hate that all the number hotkeys change after a new spell skill is acquired; I have to retrain my fingers and/or look away from what I'm doing up on the screen!
The video at the end has runes that, interpreted as mirrored medieval Scandinavian runes, reads "Mu Database StudioCime Som". What is Som? (PS: when I got to and solved the Tribune puzzle I wanted to upvote this with six stars; after the next few I think this game goes straight to 11! Can't wait for the sequel....)
The moral of the story: never underestimate what Kongregaters will do for a badge. (I, for one, folded a load of laundry... after propping a book on the right arrow key....)
I've liked the other Snail Bob games, but this one is not up to their quality. The gameplay is laggy and more... obvious? And three of the minigames have serious problems: the whack-a-mole one misses a large percentage of legitimate hits, the anthill one just never ends, and the underwater one is mindblowingly tedious (and with no feedback about what constitutes a gold medal, you don't even know when you can cut it off).
Two requests: one, let me replay the exact same attempt before trying the next---I want to see what happens a couple times. Two, on scenes with two "pencils", let me choose to repeat one of the drawings exactly, only modifying the other....
It's kind of irritating that sometimes a cat will fit through a one-block gap and sometimes it won't---it seems to be an edge case in the physics engine.
I was just starting to build up a rage at the unfairness of the last jump, but got it on the third try (it's not _that_ time-sensitive) and, and this is important, it was the very last level. So I'm kind of ok with it.
