I really enjoyed the game, it's amazing. That beeing said, I find the normal mode too easy for me (I win all matches), and the hard mode a bit too hard (I feel I have to play perfectly to win 1 out of 2 matches, and the bad events break my team's morale and economy). But maybe I just need to git gud :)
One hidden part of the 'new economy' is that they heavily changed the odds of getting higher rarities (at least in the oak pack). Now, you get an uncommon roughly 10% of the time, and a scarce less than 1%. I still couldn't get a rare yet. Maybe it's time to update the tables.
