This game is incredibly beautiful, but unfortunately favors looks over gameplay. With inconsistant rules (sometimes the ball can fall off the edge, some times it can't) bad angles, and fidgety controls, wanting to see what happens next is the only reason to continue playing. At which point, I'd just as soon go play a "Grow" game at Eyez Maze. At least that has the charming beauty AND fun game play.
I think my biggest issue with this game's mechanics is that the cats are completely supurfluous, once you've completely leveled them up, once. Rather than continuing to earn EXP from interacting with them, the only way for my game to progress now is by waiting to earn levels in crafts, and by opening baskets. A friend and I both thought the game was broken, at first, when we stopped earning exp after our first naps.
There is only one ending - but that's a neat idea to add a different ending - not sure how you would trigger it though. I was thinking of instead continuing the story instead but we'll see
Some of the in-game missions are impossible if you've bought the upgrades. It'd be one thing if you could look ahead and work towards them, but they show up seemingly at random, and you're suddenly left going "oh. I guess I can't finish this game". Other than that, though, very enjoyable!
I wish every time I accidentally touched the edge of the game, it would automatically release the line I'm drawing. Instead, I have to keep restarting levels because I draw to the edge of the play area, and release my mouse, only to move it back into the play area, and have it draw lines all over that I never wanted. Other than that, I love this game!
Friendly reminder that "KingDotCom" steals game concepts from actual indie developers, then sue them for "copying" "their" game. Trash corporation, trash game.
