The auto (and manual) save is really bad.. shame as this game seems fun
Nice and fun. But, saving is a disaster.. auto or manual save don't work very well, so you lose a lot of progress.

oh that is interesting.. game crashed because of memory error-> restart PC. all saves gone, redo from start . Yeah, no.
It auto saves every 30 seconds and after every prestige etc. Its possible your browser is blocking cookies and thus it doesnt save.
