I've finished the game till Planet 10, how do I transfer my current game to a new area with bigger map ?

there is really no way to start a new game with an old save. the best you can do is goto map 0 and reset the pirates.

there's a bug with the rating, i've never quit a game but my lvl is always stuck at poor, does it mean i can't see better host games ?
